(this is assuming I had the money to afford a lucid air in the first place.) i couldn't care less about being faster than the plaid, it's faster than anything but it's a one-trick-pony. I'd rather have a Mustang GT than a plaid. In a lucid air my brakes would work properly and I could turn around any corner I so chose with more storage space and an interior that doesn't look like a doctor's examination room

@aiz toh 1. EV's take hours to charge instead of minutes to fill up a gas tank. 2. There aren't enough EV chargers (at least out in the country) to conveniently stop and charge. A big problem if you're on a road trip. These reasons aren't related to the convenience of EV's but they're related to the cons in general. 3. They're laden with electronics (even more than modern ICE cars), so failures are likely to occur. 4. If a fire occurs, it's life or death in a matter of seconds (usually the latter). 5. They're actually much more emissive than ICE's due to lithium mining and battery production. 6. Due to their weight, this could affect our current bridge infrastructure, so stronger bridges may have to go into place if EV's become widespread. I personally believe that hydrogen is the better future of car engines, but we're not quite there yet. Much safer (and potentially more convenient if enough hydrogen/water stations are installed).

​@@lightsfansofthewest481you do make some good points however some really just depend on where you are,for instance the vast majority of electricity in NZ is wind, hydro or solar and chargers are spread out quite nicely in the north island, (but this is just NZ I can't say anything about other countries or the south island) a battery will also last long enough that it is more resource efficient than petrol cars in most cases.

Also, probably an unpopular opinion. I can’t stand how the back of this Lucid Air looks, but obviously that’s very subjective and it’s clean overall.
