Today I tried Nerd E Crafters ‪@nerdecrafter‬ Smart Art Muse Kits SUPER Not Another Crap Kit craft kit.
A lot of you know I love to open subscription boxes of art supplies and craft supplies and this $150 craft box was one of the most expensive and one of the BEST craft boxes I've ever had. Smart Art are now Muse Kits and have worked with the likes of Jazza as well for his arts and craft boxes like Jazzas Jazzy art box.

I can't wait to see your reaction. Chloe did amazing in my opinion, not only as an inexperienced sculptor but as a sculptor in general. I'm so lucky I get to enjoy both your content and hers! (Chloe you may not remember me but we talked a bit a few years ago after I thinking I had met you irl messaged you on Twitter. I feel truly blessed by whatever powers that be that not only did I get to watch you grow but I get to see you work with some of my other favorite people on KZfaq. You are all amazing and wonderful in your unique talented and skilled ways but Chloe, you have a special place in my heart as someone I discovered while you were still relatively small and I truly got to be there for your journey. I don't know why I'm writing an essay here but I feel like I needed to. Thanks for being here.)

Oh no lol I can't wait to see Jackie react to this video because she's always stressed to make sure you prepare your mold before adding the water, she always gets stressed watching people demold, and the part where Chloe missed the band and started spilling the plaster everywhere so I know she's gonna have a heart attack watching all of that😂😂

Yes! It looks like a kit that is well put together but there are so many child/teen age fans and adults that this price point is totally out of range for. It’s such a hard line to walk between quality and affordability. I don’t spend $150 as an adult in one time on anything for myself, including food, clothes and necessities, I definitely couldn’t afford to spend this for a craft kit that has a couple limited uses (for many of the pieces) and while other pieces may be reusable, let’s be realistic, most of us won’t use them beyond on the resources solely provided for us in the box. On a positive side, for kids/teens strongly interested in art and expanding their skills & experiences this might be a good intro/experience before going and getting all the supplies on your own to try it out and finding you don’t like the medium, it mitigates the losses and broadens experiences.

@@AJ-qe5xj I bought it. What did you mean the supplies can only be used in this box in a limited way? I'm an a sculptor and I can see many uses for all the supplies. The airbrush alone can be used in several different projects. The molds can be used in different ways as well. All of it can be used outside of the kit. I'm not trying to be mean here. I'm just explaining how each item can be reused in different projects. You said it yourself, you're not sculptor. So how would you know it's limited? As for the price. Jackie explained why its priced the way it is. I can break down each items price and I can tell you it's a great deal. The airbrush alone can cost between $60 to $100. Yes, some people can't get it. Which sucks. I'm on disability and I saved up for this kit. Last year Jackie said she was working on another kit. So I started to save. She said there will be another kit next year. I got the first one and I ordered the second one. Why are you so negative?

I just love this! I think the finished thing reminds me of those Chinese lion statues that they have. Something about the muzzle of the face and the colors. I love how the art community cheers each other on and promotes each other. With how toxic some of the other communities on KZfaq can be, it's refreshing to see all of you come together and cheer each other on with your projects and art kits and merchandise and not feel like you need to drag someone down just because they may be a 'competitor' for you in some way.

Reasons I loved this video: 1. Comic relief. As always, I love the cuts back in time to reference what you’re talking about. Also the pauses that show your emotions/reactions, and the fact you don’t cut out all your language mess ups. I struggle to speak my native tongue, too, for no reason sometimes. And I’ve always enjoyed laughing about it. 2. Inspiration for my own artistic endeavors. This is a twofold point. One, I love getting out of my creative blocks thanks to your personality and art combo in your videos. But I also love that you get an idea and decide to do it, even if it’s something that is way more work than you need to be doing (like in this video). I do that so much, and it’s good to know I’m not alone in that. Your videos get me through some serious art block and depression days. Thank you for being a positive impact on this wild world. Edit: words can’t describe how stoked I am that I won this week’s brushes!

I love how, well, human you seem while you do art like this, even calling back to mistakes~ I think with a lot of art youtubers who build their platform around art, they make it seem so effortless it's almost disheartening to those with less experience. It adds an element of: you can do it too!

Honestly? This video is the reason I love your channel so much! This right here embodies everything not only the art box, but art in general, stands for. It is messy and doesn't always work like we want... It can be frustrating and sometimes, you want to bang your head into a wall... But it is also beautiful, satisfying, relaxing and rewarding. Trying out new things is heard, but you go at it with such joy and passion, it's hard NOT getting motivated by it. I already ordered my crap kit and can hardly wait to craft my own abominations!

I absolutely loved this! I think your humour and timing is impeccable and made the whole sculpt a fun watch. I also love how you experiment with mediums you are not used to. I myself can never choose between drawing/painting etc so I love to see someone try something different, it gives a more realistic experience as to what I may produce myself so to not let my expectations get too high from watching someone with years of experience in that field. I also love that you’re supporting your friends with their projects and having fun with it. Also a huge positive for me was to see you take this model and make it so completely your own. Creativity is what brings me to watch these kind of videos, I love to see the thought process and the uniqueness of a persons art, I’m so glad you decided to do it and not shy away from it even if you weren’t confident with the medium. I think it turned out amazing and it’s got me wanting to dabble with sculpting and moulds. Thank you so much!! Awe you did your best doll, I know sculpting is super hard so kudos for completing it and being willing to try things in front of all of us that is out of your wheelhouse. I'd love a set of your brushes, I'm a crafting queen lol. Well .. I mean I'm not great but I absolutely love doing anything crafting especially painting. Im living vicariously through you guys with Jackie's kit because it's unfortunately just not in my budget so Ive been soooo excited to watch y'all do her kit and see what you come up with. I truly think the character you picked was an amazing pick but you def really really picked a hard beginner sculpt lol so I say it was a success. ❤️❤️❤️

My favourite (do I get extra points for spelling favourite wrong) part is when you triumphantly took the mold off and nothing broke. I was so proud of you that you tried a second time and succeeded. He came out soooooo super cute!!! Ye, he did look rather smug. I love that you used the broken figure to hold the fixed one. You can glue the leg back on and do the other wings. You truly did super well and are definitely improving. I see other sculptors dig out the eyes and make eyeballs and place them in the wholes. Do not really know why or how, but I would like to see you try this on the fixed mold when you glue the leg back on and fix it and make the other wings. I really loved this video. Thank you.

It is actually really fascinating to see you sculpt because you sculpt like a painter. Instead of forming a part and sticking it on the body the way a sculptor does you add a part of clay to the body and shape it there with the sculpting tool the way a painter would add details to a canvas. It is really fun to watch.

What I love most is your excitement for unboxing things like this. The “oohs” and “ahhs” and facial expressions are totally how I react to new art supplies. Just so much joy!!

I liked that you were honest about not knowing the use for every single item but still having the willingness to try them out. I think when you have a friend who is so into something you yourself feel inspired and excited to try it out. The genuine curiosity and wanting to do better than last time is inspiring. 💛

I found this super entertaining I always love how you have that self deprecating kind of humour but honesty I’d loved your sculpt and I think the thing that I like the most with you showing how to use the airbrush and how you were the best at it considering you’ve never used it before I thought you did fine. This video definitely put a smile on my face and I certainly needed it thank you very much Chloe ❤❤😂😊
