The plaintiff brings her ex-boyfriend to court. She says the defendant bought her a car and said he would cover the payment. The plaintiff claims the defendant stopped making payments, and now she has to pay the car off, so she’s suing for the amount she’s owed. The defendant argues the plaintiff owes him money, so he’s countersuing for the cost of the car.

He may look older than 53 but I seriously doubt he’s the oldest looking 53 year old out there. People with lighter skin who don’t use sunscreen or those who smoke cigarettes, drink regularly or use street drugs tend to age faster. I’m a woman & I’ve noticed that women who use tobacco, alcohol & drugs tend to age faster than their male counterparts, again, not always but it does seem more pronounced in women. I’m almost 58, I have no wrinkles at all yet & my hair is salt & pepper. When I dye my hair brown people think I’m in my early thirties because I have no wrinkles. Even with the salt & pepper hair people guess me to be between 35 to early 40s. I avoid the sun because of health reasons. Genetics & lifestyle choices as well as developing cancer & the treatment for it are the vast majority of people who look older than their actual years.

I believe he expected to be reimbursed when she got her settlement. Otherwise, the car would have been in her name from the beginning and she wouldn't have had to make any payments. Her excuses seem pretty lame and I highly doubt the car has been sitting there for a year and she hasn't used it. "He's mean to me, he smoked"...she shouldn't have accepted the car from someone she clearly doesn't like. Shocking that she brought this to such a public forum. She isn't a naïve 18 year old (Even a normal 18 year old knows that she has to give something in return for a car). She was 51 at that time... She just used him up and jumped to the next one. Her mistake is that this guy didn't just disappear into the wind, he was persistent with requesting payments, so much that she had her new boyfriend (victim) call him and try to get him to back off...

It is sad that some people bothered to try to make such obvious lies. I do not understand how any judge can brush it off so easily. I would find it rather insulting for someone to actually think they could get away with such a stupid lie. If I am able to tack on punitive damages I would do so because the person obviously thought I was too stupid to see such an obvious lie.

In this case she couldn't award punative damages if she wanted to because small claims court is limited to $5K max payout, which the plaintif got just for past payments.

I'm guessing it's required, but she didn't do it. HE is absolutely nuts to allow her to be driving it without insurance, because if she gets in an accident, he's the one who could lose his house, not her. What he needed to do, was demand that she give back the car as soon as they broke up, and when she didn't, he should have reported the car stolen. I would have told her that I'm going to report the car stolen if she doesn't give it back, just to be nice, (as she would be charged with grand theft auto) but I would have definitely reported it stolen. That way he's not responsible if she drives it and gets into an accident. He also could have gotten it back, because the cops could probably find out where she is.

When he started balking about the car payments, she knew she could not get anything more from him, and she suddenly makes up the "smoking" issue, leaves him, and gets her next sugar daddy, but takes the car! She said he "insisted" on getting her the car! She was using sex as a weapon and reward for getting what she wants! If she does not get what she wants, he does not get what he wants! He was like a little puppy dog, following her around, with his tongue hanging out, and panting, buying anything she wanted, for just a chance of having sex with her! As she ages, her little tricks will no longer work, and she will be left all alone! Gee what a shame! 🤣 She was trying to get a last 5 grand from him, but the judge is not a lonely old man, saw right through her, and gave her the shaft she really needed! I LOVE that she lost, and has to pay him! 🤣🤣
