The Aventodaor would be a terrible candidate. The gearbox is single clutch and shifts slowly. Also, it's V12 is open deck and not as well suited to boost or as durable as the 5.2L V10. The aventador sounds and looks cooler than a huracan; but is otherwise worse.

not really. They said it themselves, they make the QUICKEST accelerating lambos, not the FASTEST. Underground racing is the one who makes the FASTEST lambos that go beyond 250mph(400 kmh).

Can someone explain to me why the hell this 5.2 N/A V10 from Audi and Lambo is such a tunable engine? I've seen it tuned up to 1200-1300 hp with just a turbo kit and stock internals. Literally no other engine I've seen can be this easily tuned - over a thousand horses with no changes in internals - raced time and time again with no reliability issues. I mean I've seen tuned BMW V8s , Mercs, V8 VAG engines, up to 1k hp iirc, but they usually had some check engine lights, or even just outright broke in the middle of the race. Is it because it's so overengineered? My bets are that this engine will become CVLT in a few years, probably even more than 2jz and people will regret not buying one when they had the chance...

I agree and idk either but even these new 2L Turbo Golfs can make pretty insane power jumps with no changes to internals. Reliably? I don't know and I think the tranny is what really becomes unreliable. I do have a theory though, and its that these German cars are meant to fly down the autobahn with no speed limits and so the engines are severly undertuned from factory to ensure reliability. I have a stock 2003 VR6 with 204k on the dash and it literally runs like new its absolutely insane how reliable it is.

The VAG 5.2 is great for many reasons but the top theee are: Great heads: this car makes over 100hp/liter from the factory. And it breathes well even into the high RPMs so you can make a lot of power without bending connecting rods making too much tq (in stock motor apps). Also, it has relatively large displacement 5.2L is big compared to other motors out there gifted with great heads like the 2K, s/b58, coyote etc. It’s got ten cylinders! That means more valves for breathing and more pistons/rods to spread the force over at a given HP. A 2J or B58 or even a Vr38 is seeing a lot more cylinder pressure and force on components than a 5.2V10 making similar power.
