I'm 55 years old, used to be able to do it when i was18. Your vids have inspired me. I'm now half way through my training with my pt. In six weeks, we are doing the new version of the old cft. cant wait. Thanks Fabziy, you've helped turn on old fat man into an old less fat and fitter man.

@@Fabziy the best bit is that you have inspired my friend to join me on my 5k weighted tabs. we go out twice a week, carrying 20 kg, and we are coming in at 60 mins. our course takes us through the same woods where only a few months before she tried to end her life. shes only 30 and had wanted to join the army but her mental health stopped her. if she can keep this up she may stand a chance again. thank you.

That's not easy to do: stay in a close formation and "road march". We never did anything like that in the U.S. Army except that 12 mile post FTX ruck back to main post, but we had more spacing and were at "Route Step" the whole way. Route step is for uneven terrain, Tactical Training/Marches.

Bit of advice when you are doing this watch what the instructor's are doing. There webbing is nice and tight to their bodies. . Webbing bouncing around will hurt you and give nice scars on your back. Also when you have the chance put the rifle in your belt and just carry on running. If you have the sling around your neck you will get tired and it will just pull you down. Or do what I did and not use a sling. Pain in the arse anyway.

Not relevant. Mr Fbzy is highlighting training only, not D*** swinging. If you have completed 4 tours we salute you, but the video is not about that, it is about managing expectations for potential recruits. If we wish to compare op tours let’s use a different median. The videos produced my Mr Fbzy is about recruit and PTI training, nothing more nothing less. As a tri-service ex-reg I applauded what he does - having gone through basis training in 1978 - 58 pattern webbing, SLR, GMPG, putties and BMS boots. 4 miles is 4 miles as is 10 miles - it was in Wellington’s day, 1900s, 1940s, 1960s, 1990s, and 2022. The only difference is the kit, weapon and level of H&S/woke-ism/hand-holding/and instructors held to account - for being service instructors wanting to bring out the best in their recruits - Military Pride is Military Pride. Continue the good work Mr Fbzy - although you are Army, we love your vides 😊… Per Ardua.

I joined in 1994 aged 26. It's a good age because you are mature and your fitness peaks at around 31 years of age. Served my full career and retired in Thailand with my earned pension living the isolated dream. What other job has that outcome after traveling the world. Every step and bead of sweat is a move closer to completing the distance, the task, the mission, the tour and the career. The reward at every stage is pure joy of achievement. Not a day goes by that I don't relate what I'm doing to the army. Life is simple knowing what you are capable of. Good luck and don't worry about age you have a maturer head to cope.
