The People's Court

The People's Court

2 жыл бұрын

The plaintiff says she rented a room from the defendant, who she claims turned out to be a nut. She says the woman removed her food from the fridge and banged on her door so hard she had to call the cops. She’s suing for the cost of spoiled food and an unreturned security deposit. The defendant says she treated the plaintiff like a sister, and she’s suing her for unpaid rent.
case 29-385

My family is also Jamaican and for anyone confused- the defendant is acting like a baby because she feels very entitled to being treated as more than a landlord. When the plaintiff stopped being sweet with her, she decided she wanted to unplug fridges and acting silly. The "friend" who was carrying news back and forth was a mess but the plaintiff told the truth- the ONLY way that woman could have initially known the stuff that pissed her off was if the defendant DID tell her.

They didn’t come on the show to be lectured about their personal lives. The vast majority of the info that is provided by the litigants on this show would never come out in actual court because it is irrelevant to the actual case: they come to get their claims adjudicated, not to get a therapy session from Milan.
