The importance of having a resume tailored for Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) during your job hunt cannot be overstated. Here's why:
Prevalence of ATS in Recruiting: Most companies, especially larger ones, use ATS to handle the high volume of resumes they receive. This means your resume may first be read by a machine, not a human.
Keyword Matching: ATS systems typically scan for keywords relevant to the job posting. If your resume doesn't include these keywords, it might be automatically rejected, even if you're qualified for the position.
Formatting Compatibility: ATS systems can struggle with unusual or overly complex formatting. A resume optimized for ATS typically has a simple, clean format that the software can easily parse.
Ranking Candidates: Many ATS rank candidates based on how well their resumes match the job description. A well-optimized resume can rank higher, increasing your chances of being shortlisted for an interview.

Yes, an ATS-friendly resume is a must nowadays. As you correctly pointed out, job descriptions vary for different positions, so resumes should be crafted according to the specific job description.

I made the same ATS application before your video was out, although in mine there are few more things that you can do. And all thank goes to you, many people are getting inspired by you. I started a year back by running a "'Hello world" program and now I am making my own model like these. 🙆‍♂️

Hi, Krish. I have enjoyed your videos, and can truly say have been quite insightful in my journey. That being said, I have a question unrelated to this video. How would you deal with an optimization problem that asks you to find 20 points in space for placing objects in them, however, it is crucial to keep parameter "x" as close as possible to 10 units. A point to remember is changing one of the positions in space varies "x" for all the objects as well, so it wont be possible to keep "x=10 units" for all the objects, but at least need to be very close to it. Another condition is, a gap of at least 10 cm must be maintained between all points. Can you point to any direction/any ML algorithm/optimization algorithm which might work for solving this problem? Hi Krish, this application gives different keywords and percentage everytime we submit. Some keywords that are actually in the resume still show up as missing. Do you think tweaking the prompt could help get more accurate results? I've tried making changes, but it hasn't made a significant difference.

I am having the same issues but when I tried Bing chat its response was really unexpected. What I did just copy my RESUME text and JD text give it TO Bing chat and ask it to "COMPARE THE RESUME WITH JD REQUIREMENTS AND GIVE ME THE TOTAL MATCH PERCENT % AND MISSING KEYWORDS IN RESUME WITH THAT GIVE SUGGESTION WHERE SHOULD I IMPROVE MY RESUME TO MATCH WITH REQUIREMENTS. GIVE ATS FRIENDLY RESPONSE SO MY RESUME GET SELECTED" Krish has done a great job to make atsllm It is very amazing project work with. Love you man♥
