Ну почему ? Почему люди придумывают разную ерунду, и выдают за гениальные идеи? Сколько раз повторять можно, ну если ты не можешь наточить нож на станке, почему ты думаешь, что какие то штучки от зажигалки тебе помогут? Если бы их было бы достатлчно, накой хрен тогда делать специальняе станки и получать профессию заточник?

I would have sharpened my knife/knives razor sharp with a stone in about 30 seconds each. If you know what you’re doing then it will be fine for usual kitchen use with about 4/5 motions per side. Why over complicate the most basic of tasks. You will soon get a feeling for it. Lock your wrists and hands and motion from your torso or shoulders. After a while you’ll feel the difference between putting on, or taking off the edge and adjust accordingly.

Destroying two lighters to sharpen a knife? I never felt an emergency to sharpen a knife in my whole life, and I'm 50+. I have a special stone grinder and another mini device that sharpens the knives as a charm. A working lighter could be more in help in case of emergency. I wouldn't destroy a lighter.

Not even to sharpen, but to weaken the blade and facilitate blade chipping with longitudinal grinding - a noob mistake that is strictly forbidden by all sharpening manuals

Верный способ испортить нож. Хуже чем это - только ещё выкинуть деньги на заводскую подобную «точилку». Купите себе нормальные камни и и нормальное приспособление с регулируемым углом заточки, удобным зажимом ножа (переворачиваемым) и штангой с подшипником скольжения. Например, «Апекс» или «КакБритва». А ещё возьмите себе нормальную мощную 20-30-кратную лупу с подсветкой. Тогда сможете рассмотреть в неё режущую кромку после камней и сравнить её с ужасом после этой приспособы.

the few dumbest things about this vid, is for the same price of two lighters and the nails you can BUY a whetstone, or a cheap knife sharpener at major stores like wal mart... using a ceramic plate, cup etc does the same thing, using a ROCK will do the same thing...sandpaper is even cheaper than two lighters... there are other things but the NUMBER ONE DUMBEST THING, IS even BEFORE he sharpened the knife had he went STRAIGHT down like he did in the final paper cut test he would have got the SAME EXACT RESULTS...
