Brandon Novak joins us this week on Not So Hollywood. From skateboarding prodigy, to reality star, to his journey with addiction, the best-selling author of 'Dreamseller' and now motivational speaker talks with Adrianna about the highs, lows, and lessons he's learned on the way. It's an engaging story, but even more so- an important story for anyone battling addiction or for anyone who is in the circle of people battling addiction. Along with 'Dreamseller', which Adrianna and Steve couldn't put down, Brandon has a new book out 'The Streets of Baltimore'. He discusses that and his new treatment facility. I used to roll my eyes when someone would say, “if so and so can get get sober…anyone can.” That is until novak cleaned up and devoted his life to helping others. It’s wild. Truly wild.

Spoiler...he makes thousands every person he gets to go to a certain rehab. He legit gets commission. He is a great speaker and thats why he was hired.

He has a very, very intelligent individual. It’s sad and I feel for him all the things that he had to do in indoor. I’m glad that he is where he is today. Thank God.

Having stories doesn't make you a book writer. 50% of famous people's books are co- or ghost-written. Maybe Novak dictated it, spoke stories into a dictaphone type thing. We'll never know for sure.

They’re both very open about how that process went. Novak scribbled down the stories and then they would talk about it and then Frantz turned it into an actual book.

I am willing to bet that you already know what you need to do to get sober but if you don’t then go to a AA meeting and start asking for help

Me too. I reached out to him. I live pretty close and wanted to join the program he was promoting. I don't want to throw Novak under the bus but I learned a lot about him when I needed help. That was 7 years ago and I'm glad to have 7 years of sobriety behind me. I'm very pissed at Novak about what happened. It's all fake.

After watching a bunch of videos like this. I dont trust this guy. He gets paid to pur people in a rehab. No joke. He is a great speaker thats why they hired him.

He owns his own rehab and like 6 half way houses and also grants scholarships to people that want to get clean and dont have the money to pay for it. He gets paid to speak at events as well as he should because he is spending his time going through his life story to help people, dont talk out of your ass you just look ignorant.
