Welcome back to our cabin in the woods. We haven't been here since Bec finished treatment for breast cancer and there are so many difficult memories in these spaces. Then, to receive a call back for another mammogram and biopsy has sent us into a bit of a spiral. We are trying to remain positive and we appreciate each and every one of you! We really debated whether or not to post this episode but you all have been a part of our breast cancer journey from day 1. It feels like you should definitely be a part of the story as it continues ❤️🥰☀️

Even if you have or see no one around, you are never alone. You just aren't. Those we love that are no longer physically present, ARE spiritually present. I know it firsthand. When my mother passed, in the days leading up to her departure, she was seeing and conversing with them, and me, at the same time. She wasn't high from meds either. It sounds way crazy to even repeat. Also, my dogs both noticed traffic that I simply could not see, but felt. No one dies alone either. Many come to carry us "home." Apparently we had a living room full. My mother was asking me who all the people were, if I could see them bc she did not recognize all, only some. I just told her they were her guardian angels til she got stronger. She asked, "Do you really think so?." I replied, "Definitely." We both knew she was going, but I just didn't want to be in that reality bc if I were to, it would've been my unraveling. I saved myself a lot of grief by how I chose to view her transition. If only I knew I could've done it sooner with others before her. Still, I can bend whatever I face to alter the outcome. Anyone can. Your mind is the sharpest tool in your box, and best used to your greatest advantage. Her exit, how it went and what I see now since it, changed my life. It empowered me. I now empower others bc we do not have to suffer anything unless we choose to. Everything IS a choice. Don't like the one before you, you change it. All things are possible with God. 🙏❤💫

My partner is a breast cancer survivor (since 2001). She goes thru this almost after every mammogram, the radiation treatment caused scarring which shows up funky on x-rays. I hope this turns out to be the case for you as well, stay strong.

my friend had breast cancer and decided to have a double mastectomy. but she was 22 when it happened and the risk of it returning was so much higher since she theoretically had so many more years of remission to live through. the risk wasn't worth it for her. after her surgery, they biopsied her breasts and found a small cancerous tumor in the left breast. she had no regrets. I hope everything is okay with Bec. mindset is absolutely a huge part of it, and I'm glad she and Eamon have each other!

We watch because we love you guys, Oso, the family, your journeys and we will always be here for the good, bad, and the ugly. @@youtooaromatherapyyoga2991 I understand what you mean. However, the hospitals, clinics have many patients and unless they deal with each case in a timely fashion, they will end up with a backlog and quite possibly, even forget to contact a patient they thought would be better to call on a Monday. That would be far crueler and to avoid such 'accidents' happening, they contact people immediately.

Right! I agree always. I’m tryna get connected to you all so I can share hair ideas with Bec! I’ve followed you guys, Bec and Kara and Nate for years! In August I disconnected from the world while experience a NDE due to chemo and all I existed in was a warmth that I label pure love. November I competed 12 rounds of chemo. I completed physical therapy for broken bones. I’m on immunotherapy now until my cancer becomes resistant. January I relearned how to bend and walk. Yesterday I spent my first night on a sailboat, fully abled. All I could think of were you and the boys, I stayed in a home beach of mine, very close to frying pan shoals, which I grew up sun tanning by but never heard of. I love a life of love and fun and saying “yes” these days. I’d love to share the love with all of you one day, but I know the love is there already. Maybe I’ll apply to nanny like I’ve thought up, maybe Eamon and Bec will see my messages in Instagram and decide to hike in Peru with me! Maybe I’ll go Prius camping and run in Kara and Nate like I’ve dreamed for for almost 5 years now. I love the support you all share, I love the love you give. I agree with being in awe of the beauty of these humans. There is so much beauty in all this love. I know you sent the love to them, but I hope my love gets tangled in along the way. We have so much to teach the world still, and I think it all comes from love. I would love to spread or share the love with you all sometime!!

@@MegaWilderness can you touch your toes with that stretch?!? The Dr could have communicated better in the first place as to why the testing was required and the anxiety would at least have a basis of fact. How that would affect the Dr’s weekend is nonexistent. Doctors are hired to care for their patients and that should include their mental health, specifically in such stressful diagnosis’s.

Honestly you two are just bloody awesome! Bec you’ll be fine I’m sure. You can do this 💪🏼🙏🏻. The fear is always there. 20 years later after breast cancer twice, I have had many mammograms that were “questionable”. Each time is the same worry and hope battle. Your therapist is right in her recommendations. I did tamoxifen for three years and couldn’t do it longer because of joint pain. My doctor was glad I did it and understood when I couldn’t. Something worked and I have my mammo in two weeks, and am here to be able to worry. It is OKAY! Blessings!

I had both breasts removed over 20 years ago at the advice of my doctors. I understand every fear, every scenario that invades your brain and wrecks your sleep and every pain that sends your mind to the worst case results. I think it is impossible not to go to those dark places and to worry yourself into a frenzy. Tamoxifen was difficult in some ways but not as horrible as I had imagined. This journey is not an easy one but Bec you have such a positive mind set and wonderful support people around you. I think this scare will pass and you will return to your wonderful , beautiful life with wisdom and a courage that you never knew you had. I will keep you in my thoughts and I am sending good vibes your way dear. This too shall pass. ....

Hi Bec, you have been on my mind. I know it's probably hard to read all of the comments, but I just wanted to tell you that you are a huge inspiration. It must be hard to put yourself out there while you are dealing with health unknowns. I started following you both a few years ago, and you inspired me to go for it with #vanlife in 2021. I am 55 years old and I can assure you that living in the present, embracing all of the beauty moment to moment is the tonic so many of us need to drink. Too many of my generation are stuck in our conditioned reality. You and Eamon prove that we don't have to live that way. I am deeply grateful for the work that you do.
