even though it doesn’t fully scream “cowboy” to me this is honestly one of my favourite ust secret boss themes. instead of trying too hard to be big shot 2 or pretentiously shoving in a bunch of motifs from battle against a true hero or something it sticks to its own guns and stays simple

i like to think that the text quirk of this character is that his dialogue sounds like an unfinished movie script, sort of like: -KRIS! ARE YOU READY FOR THE GREATEST SHOOTOUT OF ALL TIME? -Sheriff Timber says with a trembling voice. -DON'T SLOW ME NOW, I'VE GOTTA BE ___!!!! THE ___ OF ALL!!!

actually his speech quirk is a bit like Spamton, except whereas Spamton's speech is interjected with ads and glitches, Sheriff Timber is interjected by Woody pull string voice lines like this:

imho I think this might be the closest to a new secret boss theme mainly because it sticks to it's own vibe rather than trying to be "the world revolving/big shot 2"

@@kittensolder8818 The Immortal Hydrangea's theme is another example. In order, this thing's theme uses Battle Against a True Hero, Your Best Friend, the Freedom motif, ASGORE, and Heartache, with barely any original material in between. At some point, ASGORE is being played at the exact same time as the Freedom motif and it sounds *incredibly* awkward. I don't know what happened with this theme, considering other themes meant to be from the same fanmade chapter aren't nearly as bogged down with leitmotifs as this one.

Considering how several darkners are implied to be counterparts to lightners, (for example; Lancer and Susie, Queen and the mayor, Spamton and Mettaton) I think that Timber's counterpart would be Clover, and Friend's would be Asriel/Flowey. Their relationship is similar to how Clover and Flowey's is in the final battle of UT:Y's Neutral Route, albeit with Friend possessing Timber instead of taking his SOUL.

I like to imagine that out of all the bosses this guy is the one who you’d expect to be crazy the least. He follows the ‘North Star,’ not because he’s crazy himself, but because that’s his version of a Soul. He’s following commands from a ‘player’ but deluded himself into believing it’s just guidance rather than control.

this sounds more like a theme that would play when you fight normal enemies. The melodies aren't that distinct for it to be a boss fight. However, I do like the concept of a sheriff. I can imagine them complaining about the "Starry" Knight since the the third chapter will happen at night.

I do agree, it's hard to catch the melody until the freedom motif catches on... But an upbeat boss theme isn't impossible, this nearly hits the mark perfectly.

One of the main pillars of woody theory is how Toby mentioned that the western area could be scrapped, which goes in line with the theme of secret bosses being abandoned, with Jevil being a joker card that is usually discarded, and Spamton being a spam email banished to the trash folder. Toby also mentioned that Cyber City was going to be an extremely small area when chapter 2 was being developed, and it ended up becoming like a third of chapter 2. What I’m saying is that we’ve still got a chance
