Ukraine never had the upper hand. Russia simply attrited Ukraine over 2 years, and what we are seeing is the fruit of that work. People always understood that once Russia broke through the 3 or 4 defensive lines, there would be nothing to stop them from romping all the way to the Dnieper river, and possibly beyond.

No concrete or solid fortifications would halt the pace of Russian advance in the battle fields. Israel built solid fortification in Sinai upto the bank of the Suez Canal known as Barlev Line. That too was breached and destroyed in 1973 by the Egyptian Army. The Russian military advisers planned the destruction of the Barlev Line. The Russian Army is invincible.

That's not how it works 😂😂 had Zelensky agreed to keep all Ukrainian land and stay neutral this war wouldn't have happened, Russia was gonna fight if he didn't agree become this about their essential existence protection our their country which nato goal using Ukraine was to weaken Russia and surrounded them then invade and take their land and resources while trying to wipe Russians out and putting a western docile puppet in power similar to Russia foolish neighbors in nato do anything America says even if it's putting their country at risk and all of Europe like Poland asking for nukes knowing very well Russia ain't never bluffed anyone and said doing something foolish like that means nuclear war is imminent and Russia has said many times they would never wanna go use nuclear weapons because first off it means they also will have nuclear waste on their lands but they mapped out exactly how it will go, they will wipe the Uk off the map in an afternoon, hit all USA areas that have nukes stations and hit their neighbor Poland. Russia been said long ago when they built some of the most up to date nuclear weapons after Britain threatened them with nuclear war that they can wipe Britain off the map within that afternoon which doesn't take much nuclear power to do so and how they had intercontinental ballistic nukes targeted at strategic areas for the US. The US and UK are at fault for all of this they set all this up and Georgia just said they tried to do another coup today using the CIA nato MI6 and other European spy agencies to open a second frontline against Russia because their desperate because Russia has won against Ukraine the end is near. Georgia already told America they will not sacrifice their people and country for America hegemony because they did a coup in Georgia before and told them to fight Russia and that went bad Russia kicked their behind and they surrendered within 4 days and was pissed at America because they told lied telling them they would back them with nato. Georgia shamed America again today and of course America flat-out lied denying it. They also see since they refuse to sanction Russia thei GDP went up by 10% so they realize it's beneficial for them to not go against Russia and it prevents a senseless war they see what America done to Ukraine 600,000 Ukrainians dead country destroyed.

This war a more complicated than just a profit. It's a battle of ideologies. Ukraine was always divided on East and West. Since peaceful negotiations failed - duking it out on the battlefield is the only option left.

Russia invaded Donbas after many requests over 8 years for the UN to intervene. The UN did nothing. Poroshenko planned limited deployment of regular battalions in 2017 and did not even send recon forces in 2018. He was defeated in he 2019 presidential election (a dodgy one) and replaced by Zelenskyy who promptly ousted some elected Rada deputies, took over the media and closed down the Civil Defense Service. Kharkiv paid for its own. Throughout 2021 Russia offered talks with Kiev but Zelenskyy refused. Russia amassed tanks on the Donbas borders. No evacuation plans for civilians were ever put in place and troops were not moved to the border. Russia invaded Donbas in February 2022 and Zelenskyy demanded weapons from the west. Emigration as refugees clogged European towns and were nonetheless treated fittingly. Martial law was declared by Zelenskyy and all men 25 to 60 were liable for military service. Kiev militias kidnapped people from their homes and cars and leaving Ukraine became risky. Who were the refugees actually escaping from?

It took 8 months for russian to build fortification and they were not under bombs, tired, with lack of ressources. And they had time. Ukraine wants to do the same with less of everything in a shorter time.
