Today we use live minnows, worms, and even some live bluegill to see what we can catch! The desert canal always treats us well. Will it this time?
Let us just say I was not expecting to catch this many fish!

I noticed that alot of the perch you were catching had the markings similar to crappie. I wonder if there's any mix breeding going on with them. They were bigger than average "Big" bluegills or other types of perch we generally catch.

Pretty hot. But it’s strange here the fish bite all summer long . I think because the flow of the water it doesn’t get as hot as we would think

You need a hand towel dip it in the water then wring it out and use it after you bait up and when you toss the fish back. It looks to messy.

@@TheFishinMagician20 we have numerous spiders, biting and stinging ants, velvet ants, ticks, fleas, scorpions, wasps, snakes, thorns, and others that tend to crawl up the foot. As a native I’m only telling you you’re setting yourself up for failure eventually. 🤷🏻♂️

Hooks just put all the time. Often times it’s better to cut your line then try and get the hook out

This was filmed about a month ago when it was bearable. He has a cooling vest, access to shade and all the water he can drink. He’s never out there past 930-10 especially on days when it’s hotter. If the high is 95 or over he stays home 🫡
