If he hesitates to load on ram, easiest way to encourage them is to lounge him shortly where he has to step on it a few times. He load much easier realizing it's not hurting him. Any scared or hesitant horses trying to load. Always works.

The quick shed is probably due to improving health from a drastic nutrition change. We had a Siberian husky rescue that was starved a few years ago. He went from eating dead leaves to lightly cooked real food. And his undercoat pealed out in 3 days in February (we got him the end of November). Normal coat blows for our Virginia huskies is usually April-May into the summer.

Have not seen you use the fly tassels that go on haters or bridals. They're great to use before , & during fly season. It helps fend off Flys & avoids some infections Flys can cause. Protects eyes. If use another. At home & while on trail rides. I sent them months ago (5 of them).?? GOD BLESS ALL OF YOUS.

We have two paints, and they both shed their white hair faster. I thought that was kind of weird to.

I've got a black walker that went from extremely wooley in to slick in three days! It's a weird shedding year for sure. From 75 degrees to frost in just a few days.

Curry combs are great, but a shedding blade always got almost all the hair off in one grooming at my barn. Just a suggestion. Shedding blades were not expensive.

Hey there, how about getting a manufacturer of horse clippers to sponsor you and give you a heavy duty clipper. If the hair is already coming out in almost one swoop, clippers would be my choice, just have to be careful of course that you don't nick their skin.
