Great timing! Was about to do a project with a teensy and many of these features.

Music, Hertz/Frequency in general, works in Octaves, so Linearly, 0.5 against your 10,000 actually means, " 50% of Ten Octaves between 20Hz & 20480Hz is 640Hz, not 10k Hz."

Can't deny, learnt from this, but still, with same money and effort could build multiple analog filters..
@nobodynoone2500 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, but you can have custom knob slopes, advanced processing. The simple filter is more of a proof of concept for making more complex devices. IF all you need is a resonant low-pass, I agree with you.
@NotesAndVolts Жыл бұрын
Yes, filters are not hard to build. But with this you could add chorus, delay, bitcrusher and more. It all depends on what you need.

Didnt think you could buy 3.2 anymore.

I was literally just wondering how teensy and c programming does with real-time audio processing to do some dsp prototyping. You are amazing thank you so much!

Sadly the Audio Adaptor board for Teensy versions 3.0 - 3.6 isn't currently available. Only the Audio Adaptor board for Teensy versions 4.0 - 4.1. Kind of sucks that I have 10 Teensy board from backing the project on Kickstarter but not a single Audio Adaptor. I had originally planned to use these boards for RGB LED related projects so I never picked up these Audio Adaptor boards. Now that I'm doing things with Semi- Modular synths I'm regretting my life choices.

great video as usual. how about a teensy expression pedal (using an already existing generic passive expression pedal) for DAW's for controlling guitar effects like wah wah? i cant find an in depth and concise tutorial out there.
@NotesAndVolts Жыл бұрын
I believe those pedals are just a potentiometer in a special casing. Should work like a normal pot.

I'm building a band-pass and notch filter, which seems pretty straight forward using the Teensy audio library. But eventually I'd like to add a graphical display to show amplitude of the audio spectrum, as this would show the filter's affect on live audio as I make adjustments to filter parameters. Know any projects or code examples that have accomplished this? Or maybe this would be a project for a future video?

So is the “filter frequency” the cut-off frequency, and is “resonance” the Q?
