Finally got this done just hours before the Steven Universe finale! I was super inspired by Homeworld Bound and just the last episodes of Future in general to make an animatic of this dark version of Steven.

bit more complicated then that i will not spoil but heads up the show will make you question decisions made by A certain character strong plot yes but major mistake's was made and this character she was lucky her non plan plan actually corrected most of what she did wrong or help the few things she did right

Me, to the Gems and Diamonds: This is why we humans have to be at certain ages to, oh, I don't know *JOIN* the freaking army!!! As well as a few other things!!! Me still: Look I like you guys and all but you seem to forget A) Steven is *Human* as well as a gem B) He's *NOT* Rose Quartz and C) He's *NOT* Pink Diamond. Still Me: And while I'm sure you didn't mean to or even realized it (as well as the fact you've gotten better)...he shouldn't be forced into something he's not...And that's basically how you treated him since he was born or since you found out he truly is. Note: Do *Not* take this post seriously. I just had to get a few things about the Gems and Diamonds off my chest.

DUDE YES FINALLY SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS WHY STEVEN'S SO MESSED UP INSTEAD OF STRAIGHT UP BLAMING HIM 👏 All this stuff about his mom's problems and gem stuff in general reallyyy messed him up as a kid and that's why he's so mentally unstable in Future, I love the Gems and Diamonds but yeah it's kinda their faults :(

I agree, the gems kinda force this life on Steven without knowing. 😥 I was kinda hoping Steven would consider taking the villain path. 😈 Don't get me wrong, I'm glad Steven got a happy ending. But I think it would be better writing if they explored those possibilities. 🤔

This looks amazing! I think Spinel would maybe fit more as varian because is ex-villian to current villain, not saying that Steven is the villain but he turned pretty dark, like spinel as varian would understand and sympathize with.

Spinel has the most understanding because she was abandoned by pink and had problems with her. So does Steven.

harsh but true she did make some decent things happen a small (at least for a gem)stalemate from a war that is arguably could have been prevented with a little more consideration to family and changing their minds some other way but ya i am done let this show ride off like steven and just forget about any other things that was made/happen by pink yellow blue and white and hope Steven is done cleaning this huge mess

No i don't imagine steven screaming that because colonizing a planet destroys organic life His rightful due is not the same as a colonely And actually if pink knew from the start what colonization did to a planet before she got earth i think she would've still started. War so a war would break out weather or not she got earth sine rose seems to enjoy life and finds other lifeforms valuable But steven wants what was taken from him His childhood

@@lapisbuterfly Im imaginin a younger and unaware Steven screaming such and also not at all imagining such as an actual thing that ever cudve happened in the show. Its just what the line "i only want my rightful due" makes me think of within the context of Steven sayin it. If Steven was raised by colonizers instd of crystal gems, then he cud totes have shouted that exact line bcuz he thinks that is his rightful due.

This is the best version of an animatic based on either SU/SUF or TA; hands down. Ive been watching a ton of animatics like this, even ones wif warrior cats instd cuz love those too, but this one just has hit the feels so much stronger than any of the others. The characters saying each line were chosen so well and it feels very much in universe.
