Camera comparison with previous gen doesn't make much sense to me. Would've been useful to compare it with phones in similar price point. With OP11 , Pixel 7a maybe.

That was a really enjoyable video review! Good job man! I am on my second nothing phone 1 (I have one here with a cracked screen if anyone wants it). I kept it at the desk for FL Studio mobile.. it's a cheap app for recording vocals and it has all the lil baby effects for 12€ 😅 Anyway. Sorry 😂, erm yeah great video and when this one gets destroyed I'll more than likely upgrade. Though I'm really tempted to try the 12GB "1" before then 🤳🏽

I currently have a Pixel 7 Pro but this does look to be quite a compelling option. The UI looks to be excellent, the cameras are decent enough and the glyph and overall look of the of phone is very good.

Got the iPhone on release, got bored so got the Samsung S23 Ultra got bored again ( used Z fold 1 to 4 ) got bored and was to worried everytime opening and closing so was always on the smaller screen. I'm genuinely excited to get the Nothing phone 2 for the first time. It's still the same slab, but something about it is getting me excited.

Already preorder 12gb 256gb version with new ears 2 can't wait to try it 😍

Just read it won't be available at Best Buy or Target, and have yet to see any US carrier announce they'll carry it. Seems like it's US release will still be limited. Maybe mostly sold to the US on Nothing's website? 🤔

Awesome review.. you seems to be very very impressed with this phone.. ofcourse the back transparent panel with lights is eye catcher which makes it different from others candy bar phones in market. Would like to know views on following ..We have much cheaper phones out there in market with same processsor. At this price point there are phones with Telephoto lens. Do you still really feel its worth at this price point ?

i heard that the price increase here in holland has to do with the euro being worth less than the dollar. now that was true for a while, 100 dollars was like 115 euros for a while but now 100 dollars is back to 89 euros, so............

I want to get either this or Note 20 Ultra ? How is hdr 10+ on this like with 4k netflix movies or blu ray movies with 30+gb prints ?

The audio quality of the recording is not great. Front facing video sounds better for some reason. However, the design is gorgeous, the UI is gorgeous. And yeah, hopefully it will receive some software updates to make it better.

Should have gone with the 7 plus gen 2, the same screen size and a slightly higher price than the nothing phone 1. Could have been a lot better deal

Past few days i been comparing nothing phone 2 with Samsung s21fe , a54 and few Chinese brands, though on paper the phone looks mid tier there is lots of improvement under the hood, like Bluetooth 5.3, support for hi res codec and more features for the price.

I must say, I am..was going to get the 1 until I heard the 2 was imminent, so very tempted now to pull the trigger. The fact that the back, which on pretty much every other phone is completely unused (cameras of course!) is recognized as a blank canvas, is very appealing, and means we can claw back some time/dependency on full phone unlocking/browsing..

I personally would buy the oneplus 11.. if the phone will be this huge.. curve sides would help to grip the phone a lot better.. i can tell from the video review.. this phone is huge and thicc..

Serious question. Does nothing phone has desktop mode? Thats the only thing holding me from buying this phone. The glyph, can it be use as countdown timer? Its like modern hourglass. Idd like it to be use as my prayer timer/reminder.

Phone is impressive, but the price doesn't really justify the phone as an alternative to the other more competitive phone that has bloatware but can be manage by using root or just block them from even running. Furthermore, the battery not been 5k is what disappointed me the most. 120 refresh rate with oled SD8 gen 1 makes this phone battery lose it value for me. It is too expensive of a phone when I can get pixel phone at the almost same value with better android experience

No Quad HD display, No PRO camera for premium price tag doesnt make any sense. Atleast they must have upgraded the display for the increased pricing. Not only processor upgrade can make a difference.

the phone 1 being midrange though ? i've had a Galaxy s21 ultra but i prefer my phone 1 is every single way. it's camera quality is (yes) even way better.

the glyph sounds are quite aggressive to me, I think I will go for a A54 5G!!

I still rather my selfie camera to be at the far left hand corner not dead center on the phone screen. With the cutout selfie camera in the top center it's too obtrusive for my view.

I've just received this phone yesterday and so far I really like it. I held off buying the 1 until this came out. Currently with 4 people in the family, we have between us an iPhone 13 Pro, 14 Pro Max, Samsung S21 Ultra, Lenovo Duel, Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, Huawei Mate 20x 5g, Oppo Reno and Vivo Nex S. I had the Sony IV, bought for the camera, but was returned straight away as it immediately had overheating issues out of the box causing the phone to shut down. I have yet to try the Google Pixel or One Plus however and I still have a host of other older phones LG, HTC, Amazon Firephone which we haven't got rid of yet 🙈. The conclusion is I'd like a phone that combines the best features of all the phones that are out there! So I could be waiting for a miracle or at least waiting for a while.. 😆

I have an OP 11. They are a few issues. Back glasses are prone to cracking in people's pockets. Mine has. It's a major design fault with the design of the camera bump. Unlike the Oppo find series it's not built into the back glass as one piece so any pressure on the camera bump puts too much pressure on the back glass and it shatters. The software is a mish mash of colour OS and Android. They call it Oxygen OS. It's no such thing. It has some horrible annoying quirks. You can't use full icon packs on the standard launcher. If you try any 3rd party launcher it has a very annoying 3 second input lag. The night mode doesn't do anything. There is no difference between photos taken in night mode or normal photo mode. The 100W SuperVOOC charging is a gimmick. It charges just as quickly using a 65W oneplus charger... The list goes on.

It does appear YT creators do go OTT about gimmicky phones. I suppose they are bored of the mature candy bars that have evolved into near-perfected designs, and they seek excitement? Whatever floats your boat, but the glyphs do nothing for me. The rest of the phone looks standard fare for the price; there are better and worse globally in that price range, and I would struggle to have the Nothing 2 in my Top 5 shortlist around $500-$700.

The Google pixel seven pro is a photography based phone. The nothing phone is not the iPhone 14 pro is nearly double the price of the nothing phone to so to be comparing it against the S 23 ultra and iPhone 14 pro is a bit unfair

What's the point of all this when it takes you about 2 minutes to send a 3GB file?! This is while my XZ Premium phone, which was released about 6 years ago, transfers the file to flash or computer within 39 seconds.

I have it it’s amazing just the updates are too much. I have watched 6 movies and I have compared with I phone 15. I will say that phone 3 will give head to head competition with I phone 📱 unless I phone comes up with the new tech or else I phone will be like Nokia

I've never understood the love for the Glyph. When was the last time you actually looked at the back of your phone....? Pretty much never. It's a gimmick.

Tech reviewers like yourself are always testing best of the best cameras across the park. But us average consumers can see a massive difference in the phone 1 and phone 2 cameras. It’s a proper upgrade.

People comparing Nothing phone to Oneplus 11 dont know that OnePlus is a china company and alot of china phones doesnt work well internationally, especially in singapore.

Starting price as of 2023-10-01 is 679€, it is insane... I paid 800ish€ for my S23 Ultra The Nothing Phone 1 was decently priced, the 2nd isn't.
