Thank God It’s Monday

ET was key for me going from homeless to relentlessly chasing my dreams in film; which turned into a nomination at the MTV Awards in 2 years, movies in theaters in 4yrs, opening a comedy club & nationally broadcast series in 6yrs, and the Emmy Awards in 10yrs. Most importantly, also finding true happiness in that time, with a powerhouse wife & 5 kids. I was broken… and he seemed to say the right thing to light a fuse in me, that I didn’t know existed. I owe this dude a lot, and even though I’ll still find myself down more times than I wish. I now have a body of work to look back on, making it a little easier to get back in the race… and ET is still the man helping me light that fuse when I need it.

The older I get the more I unintentionally forget things in the past... Some see this as an issue. I see it as a gift! It gives me an opportunity to grow and not focus on the past! Dont look back... FORWARD! 💯

This reminds me of a quote I wrote a few years back.. “Have you ever experienced that split-second moment while driving when you glance in your rearview mirror and momentarily drift off course, even just slightly? Life often mirrors this experience. If you're too preoccupied with what's behind you, you risk missing out on where you're headed.”

It's so important for us to let go of the past so we can continue moving forward. Our future is ahead of us not behind us.

Today, I command worry and stress to be far from me because I am here to seek first Your Kingdom and Your way of doing right and all these things (food, shelter, clothing) will be added unto me. I consider my steps, and submit to Your plan for my personal finances. You have started a good work in me and will perform it until the day of Christ.
