Freshly treated chain could quite possibly be the best feeling in cycling

😂 there's definitely noise after the lube, would be great to hear before and after noise comparison if that's the purpose of lubing. Thanks for sharing!
@nick_wammes2 ай бұрын
True. The mic was directly beside the chain so it seems louder than it actually is. But yes a before and after is a good idea

Chain lube decreases the amount of wear and tear on the chain increasing its lifetime.

I use wax specifically dedicated to track training and racing. Absolutely pristine clean chain and no dripping/flaking off.

Dry lubes are terrible according to marginal gain experts (Zero Friction & Silca) please try Silca’s SYNERGETIC. It is TRULY silent on my track / road / gravel bikes and almost as fast as Wax. Fastest non-wax lube on the market
@evanm.23002 ай бұрын
He waxes only for races. He replied on someones comment above u. It doesnt matter its just practice/training, better to get clean easy to use oil. That water based wax from silca takes a day to dry(makes a mess and spits out lube if u dont let it dry) and the other lube they sell doesnt dry i believe

@@evanm.2300 silca's wet lube lasts for hundreds a miles per application and you barely need any. That means a lot less dust sticking to it. I largely only use it on the trainer but I ride that bike about 3000miles a year and after 2yrs, my Silca Synergetic bottle isn't even 1/3 empty and my chain is spotless. I used to get pretty gunky chains and cleaned my trainer chain every 3-4weeks. I really never clean it now

@@veganpotterthevegan Should just put Chain L on the trainer. Will easily last 2000 miles indoors. I haven't lubed my chain in months its dead silent.
@veganpottertheveganАй бұрын
@___Bebo___ why would I do that? I put over 6000miles on my last trainer chain and it barely registered any wear on the chain checker at all. I switched to 12sp on my trainer bike and I'll use the used chain on something else in the future for way more miles.
@___Bebo___Ай бұрын
@@veganpotterthevegan Chain L is a huge upgrade to Silca scam lubes for indoor trainers, but I guess since you are racing on the video game you don't want to lose a few watts just to never do chain maintenance.

hello dear cyclist, for me the best oil and grease for bicycle chains and bearings will be from the Metabond company. chain and bearings will work so fluidly and inertly, that you will believe you don't have them... try it for yourself
@MainUkraine2 ай бұрын
Just replace the chain with a hot waxed one, ez.
@marlerr__42352 ай бұрын
Considering the watts required to pedal that bike, wax might not be the best option considering the generated heat by the friction of that behemoth ratio. But that's just me 🤷

@nick_wammes is still a waste of lube. Just do it on the bottom

Don’t you guys use fancy wax?

Wax, wax, wax. Nothink better than wax for me
@nick_wammesАй бұрын
Understandle. That’s why we wax for racing. Waxing is a long process and if our mechanics had to keep waxing the chains of our entire team for daily training, they would get nothing else done.
