Thanks for the video. Probably took a lot of work to edit. But your work has confirmed my suspicion that Jack Sawyer (33) is not that good or NDs tackles are excellent specifically number 54. Sawyer got no pressure.

Game saving play by JT Tuimoloau at 11:54. Changed the entire momentum. Alt kept him in check most of the day, but this rep is a big reason why OSU goes on to win this game.

Look at how high Alt’s ass is in the air relative to the other lineman. @ 5:03 for example. He has trouble really sitting down in that chair. To me it’s going to be a problem in the league. He’s a good player but the flexibility is a concern.

I think he makes up for it though with his recovery balance he has, he's just always under control. 9:23 wasn't even a great rep, but I thought JT was gonna tear him up here: however, he just redirected so quickly back inside. I think if nothing else he's Kolton Miller floor wise, may not have the high ceiling tho.

@@GSLINGFOOTBALL he does have tools that help him compensate. As far as draft position, I think it really depends on what you’re expecting. To me the flexibility issue, the pad level issue, the inconsistent anchor issue and the lack of real pop in the run game issue limit his ceiling to being a slightly above average starting NFL tackle, probably that 9 -19 range for starting left tackles, with the potential for a few Pro Bowl appearances depending on whether he has a good group around him. And that’s not a bad thing at all. That’s a very valuable thing in fact. But if you’re looking for someone who’s gonna develop into that dominant, elite, top 5 type of player at his position, I think you’re gonna be a little disappointed. To me, if you’re drafting Alt early you’re content hitting a double rather than swinging for the fences. And that’s not an irrational strategy at all.

I don't even think its flexibility. I think he maintains solid knee bend. I think it's just an example of being too big. He can't bend his hips and sit his ass down to drive. He has the strength, the pad level just takes away from it. He would be one of the better tackles we've seen if not for that.

@@thedraftsphere8904 You said part of it yourself: “he can’t bend his hips and sit his ass down”. That’s screams to me hip mobility/flexibility, as well as ankle flexibility. And yeah a large part of it is being such a tall, relatively high cut guy. He’s a good player with compensating traits that help him win a lot. But I do think this is an aspect of the evaluation that is important in terms of indexing potential issues that could hinder him to a degree at the next level.

@@joeynickles7962 yeah you hit a Home Run on the description for Alt imo!! It’s also the intangibles that’ll help him out a lot, but forsure I do not think he’s going to be a dominant tackle either. It’s that feeing of hey we got a good football player that checks off all the boxes type thing that teams, fans love. I’m most concerned with his leaning and lack of power. I like his balance a lot especially for his size, but I would love to see him work on being less hat heavy. I feel like the Duke tape exposed some things there.

Hard to take anything away from this game for Fisher. Its kind of just running for 2 yards and rubbing up against the defender over and over

Hopefully the Commanders draft him. And after the disfunction there continues, Alt can get traded to the 49ers and take over Trent Williams job.
