Notre Dame Symphony Orchestra 2023 Christmas Concert

Under the direction of Dan Stowe, The Notre Dame Glee Club and Symphony Orchestra join together for their annual holiday program, "Christmas at Notre Dame." The program will include selections from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite, as well as other traditional and contemporary music for the season, singalong carols, and popular holiday favorites from the Great American Songbook.

Nice job Dr Dan Stowe, really impressive!! Hard to bear in mind that these musicians are students!! The singers used NO song sheets, all memorized, WOW!! I loved the vacillation from playful to disciplined. Am giving a standing O in my living room!! Thank you, lovely concert!!

I need to watch High School Sports but I don't need the hassle of indifferent Players. By the way, to the future - Let's go to the State Tournament and to the NCAA Tournament unless it gets ruined too.

First off, this was NOT a rock show. It was all acoustic and I am sure the engineers for this recording wanted to keep it sounding close to what the audience heard in the venue. It's a delicate balance between an orchestra that is right up front and chorus that is high up at the rear of the stage. It's all about actual acoustic dynamics. I thought they did well given the challenges found here.

Why did the lady next to the concertmaster always cross her legs? It is so awkward because I never saw a player doing that in any concert in my life, man or woman. It is very impolite and definitely not a gesture from a professional musician!
