Just to clarify, Irene only did the high pitched screams in the song. She wasn’t the one hitting those high notes or adlibs LOL! It is Seulgi, Wendy, and even Joy who switches off with the high notes/runs/adlibs throughout the song. Once you get familiar with each member’s vocal tones and range, you’ll be able to instantly hear the difference and can tell them apart. Wendy’s has such a huge vocal range which is why she can change her vocal tone depending on genre of song. But for the most part Wendy really has such a rich, smooth, and soulful vocal. She’s usually hitting those power notes as well as doing the higher soprano like notes in group harmonies. But just as she has such a rich and soulful voice, she can also sing airy/light as well. Such a versatile vocalist! If there wasn’t main vocalist Wendy.. then Seulgi could very well be a main vocalist! Seulgi has such great soprano/alto voice and can switch up when she has to sing in 2nd melody behind Wendy or even in the middle harmonies. She is the Queen of adlibs and can hold her own with high notes/power notes. I really feel Seulgi has one of the voices that really fits perfectly for pop tracks! But like Wendy she’s really good with sentimental/emotional tracks. Joy is the vocal tone queen of red velvet because her vocals are unique. It’s very delicate and so pretty literally like Disney Princess. But her vocals really fit well with RV’s old school smooth jazz and r&b-ish tracks. Her vocals can also be quite sultry and it makes sense since Joy favorite b-sides are songs that are r&b/jazz influenced. She also has the ability to belt out power notes and is giving Seulgi some competition for Queen of adlibs 😂

@@CCSupernova Yes Irene did the high pitched scream/kind of whistle note in perfect pitch. But I was talking about the vocal runs, riffs, adlibs, and high notes that was near the end of the song that was sung the vocal line Wendy, Seulgi, and Joy.

@@sammywong7202 yes like I said, it is Irene who did the high pitched screams or “whistle notes” during the song. BUT the adlibs near the end was Wendy and Seulgi..he also mentioned those notes/riffs too not just Irene’s note/high pitched screams. ✌️

the way irene hit those whistle/screaming notes AS A MAIN RAPPER OF THE GROUP THAT'S THE HIGHEST NOTE ANYONE HAS EVER HIT IN KPOP HISTORY. SM vocals are no joke their standards for vocals is extremely high.
