I don’t think Dipper is necessarily choosing Wendy over Mabel. It’s moreso that same kid fear that all kids go through, of being seen as a child rather than a mature “adult”. It’s a feeling adults get too. Dipper’s main issue is wanting to grow up too fast whereas Mabel’s is wanting to indulge in childhood far too much. Neither are really right.

Fun fact: The Summerween Trickster is a homage to 'No Face' from the film 'Spirited Away' & his voice actor is Jeff Bennett. I love how they foreshadowed how Soos popped out of the Tricksters using Waddles earlier

I just realised, according to the calendar Stan is holding, this takes place a week after Double Dipper, since the party was on the 15th of June. Added up, Irrational Treasure is one full day. Time Travelers Pig is an afternoon. Fight Fighters is maybe 2 or 3 days since Wendy went camping. And Little Dipper is one day. So 4 episodes happened in that span of a week.

This was one of my favorite episodes from Season 1 of Gravity Falls. Happy Summerween… I mean Halloween 👻 🎃 .

The code translates as "BROUGHT TO YOU BY 'HOMEWORK: THE CANDY." Also, according to the official copy of Journal 3, Dipper acknowledges the Summerween Trickster's resemblance to their own in-universe version of Spirited Away, 'The Crabby Girl Who Did Chores In Spirit Town.' It's Mabel's favourite movie, having watched it 31 times.

If I remember correctly, this episode was because Disney always had their TV shows do a Halloween special. So Gravity Falls had to do one! But obviously...Halloween is in the fall not the summer, so instead they added lore to gravity falls that the people of gravity falls love Halloween so much they made a second one! I really love that little work around and it adds some more character to gravity falls (like it needed anymore? 😂)

*Fun Fact:* The Disney execs being the pricks they are caused Alex so much trouble with requesting edits and censorship. The flyer for the party was meant to say *Spin-the-Bottle* and S+P didn't approve of it . . . *Alex:* Can I place on the flyer instead . . . Not S+P Approved? *Disney:* S+P approves of this

I laughed so hard when Soos crashed into the Trickster and asked "That was not a pedestrian, right?" And that batteries scene was so forced that it made it funnier cause if how ridiculous it is. Can't wait for more Soos one liners.

I’ll never forget when Soos said, “I ate a man alive tonight.“ That may just be my favorite line of this episode.

Candy is voiced by Niki Hyun who also voiced BMO. She has a very distinct voice like Charlyne Amanda Yi, the voice actor for Ruby and the Three Gem deity in Amphibia

For the record the voice actress for Mabel Pines is Kristen Schaal. She also voices Louise Belcher from Bob's Burgers as well as the Triceratops from Toy Story 3. Just so you know.

When you get done with 'Gravity Falls' you should watch 'Over the Garden Wall' it is a 10 episode series but it is very good (especially around Halloween).

Personally out of all the side villains of the show, my favorite has to be the Summerween trickster. He has the perfect amount of creepiness for the episode, the reveal that he’s candy was great, he’s a wonderful homage to No-face, and Jeff Bennett rocked the role.

I love how she reacted to summerween barely within a month of Halloween

Fun fact: That white stuff that sometimes appears on old or cheap chocolate is called "chocolate bloom" and it happens when either the fat or the sugar in the chocolate separates from the chocolate. If the happens the chocolate should still be okay if ate it, but if didn't want to that's understandable.

my sister wrapped me into watching this show with her a few months ago, kinda bittersweet now to watch after having just finished it, still an amazing video and i'm still gonna watch, it's just weird to think about, i swear i don't normally get attached to fictional characters just this show and the owl house and she-ra and amphibia and tangled (series) wait...

I looked it up because I thought I remembered learning about Candy's voice actress and her being from another TV show. She's actually the voice of BMO from Adventure Time and a couple other Adventure Time characters! ✨

This episode actually contains a giant hint to the main mystery of the series. So it’s prob one of the most impt season 1 episodes, tho for some it doesn’t become obvious until a rewatch.

I'd like to meet the clod who said there's an age for being "too old" for Halloween and take them down, Michael Myers style.
