Nottingham Eastcroft Depot EMR & Colas Rail - Including Aerial Views!

Жыл бұрынSee the locos and units on Eastcroft on a very dull and misty December's day. Pretty terrible filming conditions so apologies about the quality of the images not being at the usual levels.
Eastcroft has a non-fly zone for the local football ground passing right over the loco maintenance area so you an only fly over the one side. I've grabbed the shots that were possible to include in the video for you to see a birds-eye perspective of the site.

Another excellent video Be nice to see the Eastleigh works as I live not far away it looks impressive From the station but you can't see much due to it being right back

Thanks Malcolm - Eastleigh is in a no-fly zone due to the airport unfortunately so that one’s not possible I’m afraid.

Another good video, felt sorry for the XC crew having to shunt all the way up there - hell of a way for a PNB! I'm guessing Eastleigh Works will be a total no-go due to it's proximity to the airport.

That’s Bowden Rail, Colas’s facility is in Rugby

Yes - But only certain criteria of drone. Check the CAA rules for details.

@@trainsplanes Sorry i was looking on the website and all the info I can find is that it says “you can’t fly closer than 150 to industrial sites” and then it says “Examples of industrial sites are rail or transport hubs” I am sure I am missing something and you aren’t breaking the rules I’m just interested if I can do this myself Thanks

The nearby football ground no-fly zone doesn’t allow you to fly any closer to them that I did.

It’s from the A60 London Rd in-between Notts Station and Eastcroft. 👍
