"We're not traffic wardens because they don't exist anymore" OK so what do you do ? "we issue parking fines" !!!!!!!
@B-26354 Жыл бұрын
Technically correct as "Traffic Wardens" were appointed under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (there was a London specific act before that) as police employees - parking used to be a 'criminal offence' until it was de-criminalised and parking matters handed over to the local council. Local authorities can't 'appoint' traffic wardens which as above are their own thing in law (like police constables only alot less power wise) so they had the role changed to an employee function within a local council and called them "Civil Enforcement Officers" - it was an offence to impersonate a Traffic Warden hence the name and role change. Long story short parking wardens do not exist, technically anymore... Fun fact when PCSOs first came about some were employed as "Traffic" PCSOs and had to display "TRAFFIC" in yellow on their eppaulettes as Traffic Wardens did but that was phased out when the last police traffic wardens finally retired.

@johnvienta76222 жыл бұрын
@M3sterX , excellent question. It appears that some of the Police understood that the bloke was not doing anything wrong, however one of the senior Police had taken a dislike to him due to previous interactions..... there was another reported arrest of a man who had stickers all over his clothing and a toy helmet with a blue light on top. Seemed to be a vindictive arrest due to him making fun of the Police.

Nottingham used to be an amazing place. It is now quite run down and scruffy. In the 80's and 90's it was such a vibrant place, the high street from the bottom shopping centre upwards, the whole high street was full of street traders, buskers, and other performers. There were lots of independent small shops which you would not find anywhere else (arcade records was one of my favourite), sadly now long gone, and the high street could be any city in the uk now. The same shops, all chains, and same boring monopoly.
@brothermaleuspraetor95054 ай бұрын
I know exactly what you mean. As a kid in the 80's, the environment around me was rich with society, despite Thatcher's attempts to bury us all into the dirt, while the rich lived lavish lives. People still had parents from WW2-era up-bringing, which I was honoured to receive the values of. Be respectful, be polite, help the poor, help the elderly, help each other. Support the Rag n Bone man.. Get your fruit and veg from the mobile van that came once a week, English Ice cream man. Public Libraries, Public Theaters, affordable, Public transport.. Everything was sunny in summer and snowy in winter. Life now has decayed to the point where I don't recognise this world anymore. Everyone is hating each other and ignoring each other, corpo-monopolisation has absolutely run down our towns and cities into concrete slums.. It's hard to cope now :(

33% higher, I wonder why, hasn't Nottingham not had an influx of 'new arrivals'? Yes it has, 21% might not seem high but that's the amount that have been relocated there, there is of course crimes by natives but that is hardly surprising considering they are the host nation, I just want to tell you all just one thing that's important, I cannot tell you where I work but they released a figure recently of 87% native British, that was a number literally made up as to either not panick the population or to make it seem like there are not as many, the exact figure is 58%.

Hi Charlie, I have followed you since the start loved your content for a long time. Only just came across the nottingham video. I am from Nottingham and I’m glad you did this one. For a long time these laughable community protection officers have reeks havoc on Nottingham city centre with their pseudo police uniforms. They often over exaggerate their powers and attempts to come over like police officers when they were first started a few years ago. The police used to love it because they used to get a lot of overtime going out in a vehicle so they could issue parking tickets because people used to hit them regularly. They now spend their time hassling, homeless people, and they have decimated the city centre of its retail trade because no one enters into the city centre anymore in a vehicle because I was sick and tired of getting tickets left right and centre, a great video, and I hope to bump into you in the street one day just to say hi keep up the fantastic work my friend and stay safe

When you enter Wollaton hall (which has essentially been turned into a natural history museum full of stuffed animals and an ant farm) you are greeted by a huge stuffed giraffe. I'm in my early 50's now, but there must be pics of me as a three year old standing beneath the monster, pointing at the poor old sods "goolies" shouting "What dat dad?" much to the hilarity of all present. Had he the presence of my humour, he might have said "nothing according to your mother, she's been spoiled" but it was all a long, long time ago. My late father reconditioned many of the model engines that were on exhibition during bank holidays - in 2005 (around the death of both my parents, not far from the hospital) nobody seemed to recall him from I guess the 1980's when he contributed as a volunteer. Corned beef sandwiches and refreshing orange cordial from the back of a maroon Morris Oxford shooting-break I guess in the mid-70's whilst my folks supped "hot brown" from a thermo-flask never tasted so good ever since. I can still smell the grass and dodge the deer turds. Enough - if you've read so far and have any degree of empathy you'll realise that my short text is merely the cathartic self-consolation of a very lonely guy. A common thread of humanity exists among all of us which explains our unquestionable empathy for one another regardless of extraction. Once that is accepted it is only logical to realise that whatever you impose on another is an imposition upon yourself. Stay well, mean well and embrace everyone as the missing component of you _as they are._
