One time I attempted the 5 block jump and nearly did it but my sprint glitched when I was in mid air. You did it though so great job.

Actually, you can control a strider without even the fungus, but you need a sadle You need to place a boat really close to the strider you're on and the strider gonna move in right before the boat gets destroy by the lava

how does the space and shift clutch work?

its a mechanic called stall clutching, when you change velocity while falling it will give you upward momentum, such as when you boat clutch, you rise up a bit before getting in and landing the clutch. when you crouch, your velocity changes, and for some reason, when you jumo right after, all your fall damage gets taken away.
