I owned a smaller flail mower for a while and decided to upgrade to one of the larger flail mowers I could find for a reasonable price. The Nova Tractor MFZ 240 is a nearly 8’ wide heavy duty flail mower with large forged hammer knives.
We wanted the mower partially for field grass and also for removing the hard to kill yuccas. I can say with confidence this thing destroys the yuccas and unlike my brush hog and smaller flail mower, this thing doesn’t even notice them. There is so much rotating mass from the giant serrated hammer knives it chews up the yuccas and spits them out.
Mowing with this thing is great and it has eaten everything we have thrown at it so far.
