Can someone explain to me why oscillator 2 has to be in square wave before it can be modulated by LFO2 please?

The sub osc on mine doesn't turn down at all. Can't for the life of me figure out why I can't mute it. Is my BS2 busted?

The two oscillators combine to make one sound, right?

That's right. Bass Station II’s oscillator section consists of two identical primary oscillators which share a single set of controls, plus a “sub-octave” oscillator which is frequency-locked to Oscillator 1 so that it's pitch is either exactly one or two octaves below.
