These are all of the keyboard/lead sounds from the mininova. I took my time to demonstrate these sounds, not just hitting a few notes (sorry if it bothers you). Hope this helps you to get to know this synth.
onegoestofour is my onemanband project based on a loop station.

That’s because the age of the synth doesn’t determine its programmability. I don’t get these comments.
@hazuinf
@hazuinf 3 жыл бұрын
@@HotStrange I don't think it was a comment about the age, but about how long people had been programming it. If you were listening to a synth for a hundred years, you'd expect to have heard a wider range of the sounds than after only one year. Likewise, the difference between one year and five/six years

The fact that you posted the patch names and kept them up while you played each patch meant I could do other things while this played and just click back on it to see patch names which interested me. Great thing about a board like this is even though there are 256 presets, technically with all the oscillators and filter capabilities, each preset could essentially spawn 5 more sounds that you can store, this expanding your library of sounds. Beautiful analog sounds for such a small little guy. This and the Nord Lead are an electronic musicians analog dream.

Do the mini keys bother you? I really like the modern sounds of the keyboard, and most in this price range are mini. I notice a few mistakes (not to diss your playing, your way better than me) but do you think you would have made them if you had a bigger keyboard? Thanks!
@onegoestofour
@onegoestofour 10 жыл бұрын
Sometimes it bothers me, yes. Because in real life I'm a classical pianist, sooo playing the synth is just hobby. And after playing for example Chopin for 5 hours on a regular piano, playing on the mininova is strange...But I think it's okay. If you dont have big sausage fingers, you'll be alright. :)

donniemarko87 Do you by any chance know any good online resources for learning piano? I don't have the money for lessons and while I'm looking into a first synth to get I should probably look into learning how to play it. I know a teacher is preferred, but it's either free lessons or no lessons so I have a better chance of getting decent with free stuff.
@onegoestofour
@onegoestofour 10 жыл бұрын
Magniloquent Sobriquet uhh, it's tough. If you've never played the piano, I recommend no to buy a mini key synth (like the Mininova). Dont get used to the mini keys. Unfortunatly I dont know any online piano lessons...But I'm pretty sure you can find some, just type "piano lessons" in google.

SouthEast Wink 202 This synth has mini keys so it would be terrible if you have larger hands. You could make it work but it would probably be bothersome. Also the lack of knobs in the interface will make it hard for you to really learn about synthesizers as a beginner. Also keep on mind, synthesizers aren’t capable of piano sounds and things of that nature. Not realistic ones anyway. You’d probably be better off with something like the Studiologic Numa 2x or another workstation.
