Makita/Dolmar have made some great saws. This one seems really strong. Good job. If you get a chance you should try the 50cc 5105 Dolmar.

I could go through life by only owning "red" (Jonsered & Dolmar) chainsaws even though neither are still being made today. My primary saws are the CS-2152 & CS-2165, but I wouldn't mind a Dolmar added to my fleet some day.

Man, I wish I had your confidence sometimes😂 To this day, I run these saws and go "was that fast? I really hope that was fast"

I have always thought the "Makita" (Dolmar actually) is an under rated saw. They just never had the dealer network of Stihl, Husky or Echo. At least in my neck of the woods anyway.

If it’s a work saw. It should have a base gasket. Adjust intake with piston skirt. 77 120 100 try it.

Looks like the 562 has it to me. Idk. That makita looked grunty though.

No need to remove the gasket when it’s 200 psi stock

Don’t have enough time on my 7900 and still need to tweak it a little to make any real judgment on it but been very impressed with their little 5000. Shame they got pulled from the market because they seem to be pretty capable and seemingly rugged saws. Closest thing I’ve found to the best of the early 90’s pre emissions saws that I’ve ran. Are they the fastest? Don’t know don’t care. I want wide power bands and longevity. Something a lot of modern epa saws don’t have. Need to try a 545 someday but probably won’t as my 562 MI still leaves a bad taste. Plus I want to be able to run a saw fat for extra cooling when I need to. 👍🏼

I just finished porting a Makita ea5000p. Man what a sweet little saw they are. Build quality is superb.
