Not true, it's quite the fun ship, and quirky with those French-looking quad turrets.I honestly would rather have had her at T7 instead of the Colorado. It's not even as fast as the other nations' ships, but at least it does 27kts instead of 20 like the Colorado....

I'll be straight up, as someone who got Alaska B for black Friday and already had an Agir, because I heard all the hype that Alaska was Agir - but GOOD. I like Agir BETTER. -better AP, though worse HE -solid armor (i have a harder time sinking other Agirs than I do Alaskas, hands down.) - TORPS -better secondaries. 12k range with the new commander rework and those things just rain fire on EVERYTHING around me and eat up destroyers 😂 - torp damage reduction is ALMOST 40% - HE pen is like 70mm or something like that for... Lord knows why 😂 - she's a flyswatter. I don't for the life of me KNOW why he was AVOIDING planes in this clip. She eats them up for easy XP. I'm talking 30+ planes shot down at the end of rounds. Minimal bumps to AA specs from gear or commander training. Agir is NOT a squishy ship. She punches like a battleship and moves like a cruiser. And unlike Alaska, she's got those torpedoes to uppercut anyone that wants to press close or gets careless coming around corners.

It’s a steel ship but yeah it’s usually top 3 picks. Something like Bourg, Stally, Mecklenburg. So as long as you prefer it to Bourg then go for it. It gets Def AA to boot and has that amazing 1/4 pen German HE so it can do some serious damage, that’s without mentioning the solid AP broadside it can give. Be warned it’s an FDG hull though. Meaning if you’re caught turning you’ll eat citadels.

Mecklenburg that is great ship for 1 vs 1 brawl , I lost every battle to those , and I had Schlieffen , they just start fires easy , but in Ranked & Random are pretty weak I sunk few without issues , Macklenburg or Gato will be my next steel ship .

Personally, I've been enjoying the Agir after I bought her with FXP. Guns are pretty accurate, easy to juke enemies into hitting her belt, and especially fun in Convoys.

Same, G.Lütjens in mine. My highest win rate. Results are wide though. I can spend most of at T11 match trying to hide my broadside and end up with crap damage. Get other tier and end up with some nice results at times. It is fun to catch ships broadside.

Would love to see the Neustrashimy, imo a super underrated dd, especially if it has proper support in either a div, or if people know to help you with dd engagements, since it just refuses to die

I personally love the Agir i played it a lot during ranked and I find it easier to play then the Alaska. Yes it has less battle impact then the AK because lack of radar and AK does have better pen angles, but i find the guns much easier to shoot with better shell velocity and the pen angles can be over come with good positioning. The Agir also has better at brawling potential so when u need to be a hero and push in can hold its own with most ships, and the torps adding an extra punch. I normally try to play it on the flank at 10-15km and my normally 10k+ dmg a salvo to BB or cits to most CA or the angle towards me and die to my friendly battleships. Honestly one of my favorite ships to play in ranked games.

Love your back and forth on your thoughts about the value of the Agir. Personally, one of my favorite ships. Build it with Heavy AP (rarely use HE) and don't open water so much - you have to be sneaky, sort of like a cruiser.... which is what it is!! Use islands, etc. Force the brawls later game and the torps are a huge bonus. I have surprised many a BB by sinking them at close range and brushing off their shots due to the great armor. I agree that I thought it was a great value for FXP but maybe not so much for coal. Thanks for all the great content PQ!

I got this ship for free xp right before it was removed and it’s slowly taking my #1 favorite cruiser spot. If I want to win and carry a ranked game which seems to be the only way to win a ranked game nowadays, I take this ship. If you’re shooting at anyone angled or BBs close to max range use the HE it’s actually not bad. I have the heavy AP on mine so if anyone is remotely broadside I use AP.

The AP on that thing is just brutal up close. Plus the hydro and torps make it an absolute unit for brawling. Just wish the rear turret angles were a bit better.

@@wtpiv6041 yea I agree with that rear turret angle. I also wish the torps had a better forward launch angle but it would probably make it a little too OP if that were the case.

@@ArmorPiercing11 I don't eventhink so. With the introduction of torp bbs with grreat angles, the torps on ägir have become utterly useless sadly. They could use a slight upgrade imo

love Agir, but you are right, the dpm and accuracy leave something to be desired for, and that tankiness only really works at close range so you want to get close but my biggest issue are that the depth charges are woeful - 3 charges per drop, 7km, 1600 dmg max (yup, maximum per charge, Balao has 20k hit points base). I have a ridiculous win rate in it, but its the agony that comes from dealing with subs that stops me from playing as much, especially with so many subs in the game at the moment.

Idk how I missed your channel all this these years playing the game on and off, it is my new favorite educational resource for the game and I feel like I am getting better from watching you play. Your attitude towards the game is refreshing too compared to a lot of CCs, I can kind of see poor flamu die a little more inside with every single update 😅

I actually like the Aegir. In ranked it is quite decent. I always load HE for the start and swap to AP later on. The ship excels later in the battle. And obviously it does not have utility but it does have a punch and good fire chance, at least for me.

I have a 67% win rate with the Agir with 100 battles, I'm not sure why but I almost always have a great game.

It kinda feels like you get the best matchmaker for 60-70 battles after getting a new ship lol. Has happened to me a few times now where I have insane first 50-70 games and then kinda fizzles out after that wr wise. Avg xp stays pretty good tho if I'm good at the ship. That's definitely part of it is being able to utilize the ship well

I'd love to see the rochester, i've heard you talk about how it's pretty dangerous but i've never even seen it in a battle. I don't even know how you can obtain the ship in the first place and a lot of people don't even know it exists.

Playing Ägir was a probably good ship in my experience to be played for Ranked Battles as tough as for nails on it. But I always this ship fires AP shells deals much more damage but less than to fire HE shells for short and long range distance. Thinking about this ship is always a tanky build without Concealment Expert by the way was a tough but focus on the Main Battery Gun. Her armor was a turtleback but I suspected gets a citadel hits but I would ensure to gets survivability. Anyway, this video is always good for that topic

Outnumbered, fire starting and heavy ap. Lose the superintendent, shell notification and the conceal. You have 60k health. Some full pens get through by BBs. You punish anything broadside though. 2ndaries set fires at 10km. HE will slap DDs. Conceal only drops to 12km. You use the ship equipment to increase conceal and dispersion

Ägir is not a battle cruiser but a super heavy cruiser like Alaska or Azuma. BC have stronger armor layout and bigger main gun calibre. It's not a capital unit.

When it comes to the Legendary Commanders, it comes down to which nation you play. Gunther Lutjens is amazing on all the German classes, but if you don't play German ships, you've wasted 175k.

@@morinokuma-sandesu9236 What I meant was that Legendary Commanders are only really worth it IF you're invested in their nation. I currently have the T10 German cruiser Hindenburg, which I love playing, and have Lutjens trained for it. I also have a few German premium ships that I use Lutjens on due to the fact that there is no re-training cost for captains when they're placed on premium ships. However, you stating that you've amassed 330k coal suggests that you are still a relatively new player. Therefore getting a premium ship may be in your best interest. As I said before, premium ships, even coal ones, have no re-training cost for captains placed on which makes them ideal for traing up captains for your tech tree ships. Without knowing which nations or even ship classes you're partial to, I can't really give you a better answer.

There is no clear answer to "which coal ship", as all are mediocre and/or very situational. Personal preference also matters a lot. Legendary commanders gain in value the more premium ships you already own for the nation. For example, if you have only Schlieffen and no premiums, that guy is going to be stuck on that single ship. But if you suddenly have entire lineup of premiums, the same guy would be much more valuable, as he and his talents would help in multiple ships, also it would help with Elite Exp farming.

Agir is better with main battery mods, all around, unfortunately secondaries are limited a lot, Shroeder is more of a secondary battlecruiser, with all main gun battery mods, Agir is really precise and easily gives 9k salvo's, try it with full main battery mods with the heavy Ap's and range on equipment

It's also the lack of torps, though the Alaska inherits the USN pen angles of the heavy cruisers, so the idea between them is that Alaska can engage in more stations than Ägir but runs the risk of getting torped in return (especially with so many Cruisers having torps at T9).

Alaska is better in everyway. minus the torps. Alaska has improved pen angles so the AP actually damages more than just a broadside ship. The HE does a lot more damage. The biggest one is the deck armor that cant be overmatched. that plus it sits so low in the water makes it way more tanky. the only hope of winning that fight in the agir is that you can get close enough to torp.

I would never play this in randoms, but in ranked i can beat any bb in a 1 v 1, and if i come up against a spamming low armor cruiser they are in trouble, i do spec into the secondary turrets and they do set fires on bb, and do help with dds.

I'm a huge fan of subs too, the amount of counter play is just so robust and the overall balance is impeccable, most engagements are like a fine wine, filled with subtle undertones that require nuanced adaptation of game play. The ping followed in a second by the cloud of homing torps a couple hundred meters out... when just spotted. Damn, an unforgivable error on my part, I should have been running faster.

it would be really nice if WG gives agir 30mm stern and bow, or give it like a 40mm stern and bow icebreaker so she can tank more hits. but WG being WG, if you choose to play germans, you choose to suffer.

It's definitely not a Kronshtadt. Kron, When played like a mid range Brawler BB, with cruiser maneuverability is fantastic! Most people go for light cruisers and DD's in the Kron, and then are extremely disappointed with the dispersion. In reality this cruiser is best used as a BB killer Primarily! I generally run all accuracy and reload buffs on Kron. Since this ship has no Icebreaker It should not be played bow in, that is unless you are committing to a push and stay angled. Flanking is this ships thing, play it like a fast BB with, superior maneuverability and reload, and you should have amazing results! I have a 70% win rate in this ship for this season of Ranked Battles, and a 66% win rate in this ship over all seasons of ranked.

@@mkgaming990 not all about penn. when i faced agirs and sigfrieds when they had 1vs1 brawls i decimated them. i think i went 34 wins 3 losses. scroeder is faster, better secondaries, terrific gun angles, faster, and almost as well armored if not the same.
