first of all wtf was that show??
at first i thought it would be more about he cause she was on one cover and she wasn't smiling and idk why but i thought that she was maybe in a mental hospital and he helps her smile or something but nope
[it's about murder suspect who plays with people and a girl on whom his games don't work, but she becomes more and more drawn to him and then she teaches him how to be a good person].
i binged watched it in two days (one almost sleepless night) and it emotionally. ruined. me.
like i literally think this show fucked me up. after watching i realized that i forgot to check genre of show, before i thought it would be romans/dramat + maybe a bit about mental health, but it's also a thriller, psychological, crime and basically tragedy. honestly, i do not recommend it to anybody, even tho couple is 10/10, how it's made is like 8/10 but how i liked/enjoyed watching is like 3/10?
the fact that at one point he actually believed they are related, siblings [they're not] it was so painful ugh, also I'm not sorry about this spoiler, i myself googled this at the beginning if they are related or not and I'm glad cause if i wouldn't know then watching it, especially eps14,15 would be like 10x more irritating. the
but now there are some spoilers:
the detective dude was soo annoying, like while watching till ep14 i kept commenting: fucky, sonofabitch, only in last ep he wasn't that annoying, but like scene where he punched Moo Young, said he isn't even a human and then also when he stabbed him like aaa the fuck??the whole time i thought he was against Moo Young's relationship with Jin Kang cause he thought they were related but he knew they weren't, which means he stabbed him only cause he thought he was a killer and he knew his father was one and like bro you literally killed his father so you're killer too?? ughh
also he was a hypocrite cause he called Moo Young devil, said that he doesn't have a heart and doesn't deserve 2nd chance BUT before he said that everyone does and he himself did too cause he killed but then Moo Young doesn't and like ugh wtf
PLUS HE KNEW they weren't related so like IF he just told them before, that they were friends when they were young, Moo Young would never get manipulated by that crazy bitch and wouldn't have thought that he and Jin Kang are related, wouldn't break up with her, wouldn't have killed that psycho and wouldn't go on a run AND both of them wouldn't have died UGH
also why didn't Jin Kang just did a dna test?? ugh
this show is really triggering my anger issues...
this ship.. i love them, they are different then other ships and, especially their hugs. also scene where he found out about his father and she texted him she loves him like aaa 🥺
or that one hug where he carried her to the house 🥺🥺🥺
ALSO the meaning behind tittle!!! i didn't got it at first but then while reading some comments it hit me. cause he didn't just lost smile like was sad, he was actually smiling throughout the entire show but with that fake, a bit evil smile. the only times he really smiled was with her. and there was also few scenes where his smile did in fact left his eyes, like the one at begging of this edit or in the scene where she puts gun to her head. ugh that scene was soo intense and he stopped fake smiling for few seconds but then tried still pretending that he doesn't care but it was so visible that he does, and OMG THE ACTING, this actor is phenomenal! honestly i started watching this cause of Doom and it's really good. and actress's too!
the ending:
hm well i knew it would be pAIN and i knew i wasn't ready but it still could have been worse. this ending actually kinda fits, cause at least they died together and at least knowing that they love each other.
the only comforting thing is their cameo in Abyss WHICH I LOVE, now at least i know they had became grim reapers and had another life 😌
AA and the ending scene, where they were both bleeding out on the floor, while watching that scene i was like "what if he will tell her he loves her now" but i didn't thought it would actually happen, but then HE DID and boyyy how i started hysterically crying.. damn
ALSO the fact that they died right after saying they want to live...
especially him, after planning his suicide and finishing the letter, whyyy
