We're all going through this. Had a guy throw his door badge at me last night and simply said "I'm done." The reason? I asked him to get off his phone. Entitled. Lazy. Always sick. The new workforce normal I suppose.

Considering what I've seen, I can understand why there are signs like this popping up. I was once working in an assembly line and a Nintendo factory in 2014, each part of the line was assigned a different task.. well two Hispanic women further up the line for me weren't doing their jobs, too busy yakin and checking their phones.. They tell you to change positions every hour or so, so you don't get Repetitive strain injuries.. welp, I felt I had to pick up their slack, it was seasonal and I was trying to stay on past the holidays so I wanted to prove myself. Ended up screwing up my left shoulder, damn thing had a random shot of pain then dropped to my side.. couldn't move it much, didn't keep the job. So I get it, if anything, there needs to be more signs of this nature.

I laughed when I saw this video, I laughed even harder when I found out what the woman's name was, cause I once worked with a Taylor. The sign was very funny, how could anybody get angry at that. Taylor just wanted her 10 seconds of fame and she got it. The pet owner should make some stickers and flyers to put on cars and buses lol. Taylor looks like she overdid her makeup for her interview. She could have had a good laugh like everyone else, but instead was annoyed, pissed and didn't know how to take the joke.

This is genius!! I went into a Wendy's in GA. My order came to $31.57. I gave the cashier/manager two 20s. I then said "Wait...I have $1.57. Just give me back a ten. He was completely befuddled and called over the other manager who then broke out a calculator. She told the guy "People come in here play games." I cancelled the order and asked for my money back. The woman came from behind the counter, got in my face and threatened to call the police. The male told me I need Jesus. i replied you need math. I went into a store shortly after the incident and asked her if I gave her to 20s and 1.57 and my purchase came to 31.57, how much change would she give me. She had no clue.

Woman: "I'm offended!" Translation: "Hey! I'm stupid, and I don't like that sign!"

I’ve worked where I was the only one doing the work while everyone else wouldnt get off their phones, always late, always smoked weed/drank the night before and couldn’t come in, or slept in the office. This guy is totally within the right. I once worked in a furniture store and an employee got a two-wheeler stuck in the wiring and instead of gently removing the wires one by one to get it out he yanked the entire two-wheeler out. That yanked the wires bare and that caused a fire. That fire ate up the entire warehouse and its contents. The company vice-president was so mad that she came out and fired everyone in there and replaced them with new workers.

I worked at a clinic where the medical assistants were on their phones all the time texting someone, on facebook, netflix, etc. Never taking accountability for their laziness, always blaming the greeters in the front(me the greeter). It was always my fault for their stupidity. Yet they always complained about a raise, doing too much and never enough vacation time. Me the greeter was always verifying private insurances, making appointments, answering the phones, getting yelled by patients. I never got recognized for my work, was never allowed to ask for a raised or vacation time. When I did ask for a raised the manager always belittled my work telling me I verified insurances wrong and having a sourpuss face. Every time I asked for vacation, the medical assistants would complain as well as other greeters "whose going to verify the insurances?". They would literally reschedule patients with private insurances when I would go back to work or tell the patients to come as walk ins early in the morning for me to verify their insurances. So yes what this man did is appropriate and people should not get offended for being called out on their laziness.

I'm retirement age, but quite a while ago, I came to the conclusion that, on average, there is at least one stupid person on every street corner, and you'll pass a few other fools walking from one corner to the other. I'm not exaggerating or saying that as a joke. I'm not expressing that from a position of arrogance or a feeling of superiority. It's just that my lifelong observations have convinced me that it's pretty much true. And, stupid people are dangerous to themselves and usually dangerous to anyone else they are around. And, in recent years, all too many people have forgotten or ignored the warning George Carlin gave us..."Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers".

If you weren't in Pasadena. I have four years experience in a pet resort. I miss that job so much! And I get it. The phone thing is really annoying!! How will you know when a dog fight happens? You won't miss the signals and it'll happen. I've seen and broken many fights up over people on their phones.

Anyone ever in a management position can relate to the owner’s perspective. It’s aggravating telling other adults to get off their phones while at work and get productive. Lazy people want to act important always checking their phones but will be the first to complain if their check is even a few cents short. They do half the work but expect the full check simply because they were on the clock the whole time and will quit within days like he said when confronted with the reality of their performance.

They think they are the best in the world and that they are doing you a favor! Im NOT unemployed, but last week I got a call from a guy that wanted me to work for his law office. When I asked about salary it was about half I make. I said no, but he begged me to come around and meet them because he was convinced he could change my mind. It was just ANOTHER fancy law office in a fancy bullding, as generic as it could be. So I said no again. And he was like "oh I see money is way too important for you". I m like ??? You think I work for blessings or just to have something to do during the day?? Jesus! Makes me wonder if the guy HIRING is not the real stupid person in this story too...

That is a FANTASTIC, BEAUTIFUL sign. More places should have that sign. Especially in the food service industry. During COVID, I worked at a restaurant in which one person had been using TOXIC floor cleaner, instead of sanitizer, on surfaces that come into contact with food. Would you like some floor cleaner with your meal? Probably not. Back in the 90’s, I worked at a federal agency that had one person who spent most of the day walking around complaining they did not have enough time in the day to do their work. Another employee, who had been there for years, would hide paperwork in a box under their desk when they did not know how to process it. This was literally life or death paperwork. Stupid people are a fact of Life. They should also be able to hold productive, HARMLESS jobs. U.S. Congress and the Senate, should have minimum IQ requirements as well as a psychological evaluation as prerequisites.

How many applicants were told "You don't meet the sole requirement for this job."?

As a business owner I agree with this sign 100% You guys have no clue what's out there applying for jobs It's scary!

I was curious about this situation, so I did some research and they are currently hiring "an experienced" dog and cat bather and are paying $12/hour. If you want non-stupid people please play them a livable wage. Otherwise you will only get the people that will not care, because they don't see why to put the extra effort if they're only getting $12 an hour, and in that one hour they're being overworked. You get what you pay for.
