Love it myself. Tried it today. The good thing is that everythign have nice texture, with the udon having good chewiness; BK sauce is the best. The tempura is nice, but note it's not the extra-crispy style. Really like the egg tempera (how did they managed to do a nicely fried onsen egg...). The sauce for both the Udon, the tempera, and any extra sauce (eg: Dashi sauce) is quite good - good balance of unami and sweetness, in fact. But if you are used to the heavy flavor version served in typical Sushi restaurant, you may find it lacking. The flavor you are chasing in this case is the freshness, the complexity - multiple layers. In short: Pro: It is Japanese quality. Perfect texture. Good balanced flavor. Con: Actual Japanese flavor may mean light flavor for those who are used to the food around here.

Its pretty busy in the branches around Manila, hope Vancouver's will be successful enough for more expansions towards the lower mainland. Bummed I don't see a water dispenser with the perfect chilled temperature though. 😢

@archionois I hope so too! Fresh udon is not common and this place has the whole system in place for lots of customers. It was a surprise to see! What did you order?
