I agree with other guy, i won 6 comp matches in a row while i won 2 matches in trials in 3 hours

It’s so underwhelming. Lightweight AR hits like a wet napkin. I was so excited for that roll too and it just hurt my soul.

I’m a hunter main so I’m just never going to be impressed with that roll, I like repulsor brace but destabilizing is just meh

The optimal ttk stayed the same with that change so unless they nerfed them a while ago it never changed

It's always been a 0.75s TTK, however with the health changes It was the only gun to have it's optimal TTK resilience gated. So at 10 resilience it's now a 0.83s TTK. This is just because of its rate of fire and damage profile being such a large outlier, it's archetype was the only one caught out. The balancing meant that the changes didn't affect the optimal TTK of every other gun archetype in the game (it was only supposed to increase the headshot requirement for TTK and remove certain resilience gates), but again 720s are just such a large outlier. They're very weird. Now they're doing more specific changes we might see them buffed though. Which would be amazing. 720s as a whole are the definition of mediocre in the current sandbox, and always have been in other sandboxes. They're a fusion of an SMG and an auto rifle, but it performs both roles so much worse than either of them. Making it a niche that isn't worth it. If you want to use a 720 you're better off looking at your loadout and just choosing an auto rifle or an SMG depending on what fits.

720’s fill a couple niches for me Rate of fire is one, I mean good luck trying to snipe through that much bullet hitting your noggin right? Another is magazine size, most 720rpm autos have a solid magazine size, and something like Reckless oracle has 50 base mag size, combine that with mulligan and kill clip and now you’ve got a gun that doesn’t run out of bullets hardly at all, and when you do secure a kill, reload and start spraying again cuz it’s reload speed ain’t that slow either for a gun with such a deep mag They also have a volume of fire advantage against a few other gun types, and they can duel from a bit farther away than your average SMG and still keep up good TTK for their class, so if you keep yourself spaced appropriately you’ll win to damage and aim assist falloff against smg mains, though you may trade or lose out in the very close up engagements (but so do a lot of gun types too so not much of a downside, I mean seriously a scout or a 120HC ain’t winning within 10m of an smg most of the time in your average crucible lobby) Riposte having Zen and Kill clip makes this thing very consistent at preserving momentum in a gunfight, use with say devour with secant filaments, drop your first kill with the empowered damage, reload, bam now you have refreshed devour and a damage buff on a bullet hose They’re not the best, not trying to say that, but they have their niche, just gotta give them a good try :) Give that kill clip and mulligan reckless oracle roll a try, it’s VERY fun in 6v6 modes too, it’s really funny watching people assuming “oh this guys gotta be running outta bullets now!” After like 30 shots fired from me, meanwhile I’m still on 35/50 bullets left 😂 mulligan is pretty nice on the oracle I say there’s no objectively BAD weapon types in destiny, some are for sure weaker than others sure, but there’s always gonna be an outlier that really stands out as a good pick, riposte and reckless oracle are my current favorite 720rpm autos, maybe the seasonal one too but I haven’t crafted it yet (I totally am though soon enough and that thing has **really** crisp gun feel to me so ima try that out too :D)

It's a great 720 auto. It's the best 720 in PvP actually. It's just that 720s are an awful archetype. It might be the best in it's category, but it's an awful category.
