I can't help but notice that just a month ago this would be full blown OCD characteristics. But this is now normal , smart, and very responsible. What a time to be alive.

I was told I'd be safe shopping if I just had a mask and gloves. I was lied to. All the other shoppers had clothes on.

I keep seeing people joking about it but in 10 years there's probably gonna be commercials on tv saying like, "Have you or a loved one been exposed to hand sanitizer, Lysol spray, or any of these household cleaners during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic and gotten cancer? Then you might be entitled to financial compensation!".

“Imagine there’s glitter on your groceries”... you can never get rid of glitter. We’re screwed.

Going to the grocery store is like playing laser tag. The shoppers just walk into my personal space, I dive into an empty aisle in order to keep 6’ of physical distance. Constantly diving into empty aisles is exhausting. People are not listening, they’re not paying attention to when they walk into someone’s space. I could not wait to get out of the store, I felt like I was putting myself and my family in harms way.

You know that you have OCD when you spot all of the mistakes that he's making.

He's cross contaminating constantly by touching the "dirty" packing then touching the "clean" packaging. i.e. opening the box of cereal then touching the bag of cereal inside. Touching the bread package to remove the bread and transfer it to a new bag.

So the Cereal box = dirty and the bag = clean.... but he opened the dirty box with the same hands that he he took the clean bag out with ...

It’s so hot here in our country. That’s why I believe that my groceries are 99.9% clean. I always thank God.

His hands are potentially infected as soon as he touches the outside of any container (like the cereal box) so as soon as he touches the bag within, isn't it potentially a carrier?

He has cross contaminated more times than I could count. He lost me when he took the cereal out of the box, and then touched the inner bag. DOH!

When you are back from shopping... Straight go for shower 🚿 and don't forget to take your groceries along with you...

All this cleaning, what if someone coughed or sneezed on your food. Is allowing other people fix your food really safe. That makes no sense to me.

Videos like this create panic, hoarding and anxiety. Keep a clean house, especially kitchen and bathrooms, wash your hands and act responsibly. Wear a mask if you’re sick, don’t touch your face and cover your mouth when coughing.

This guy is not a virologist. Videos like this add to the hysteria. He did this to get his name out there even though he states he is not doing that. Be smart, stay healthy, exercise, eat right, wash your hands and don’t be around huge crowds. That’s about all you can do.

I put my groceries in the washing machine and then put it in the dryer. Everything spills or is cut up into pieces but I get a clean pitcher and scoop it up, then throw it in the blender for a smoothie. My strawberry mango smoothie does taste a little like chicken blood, but at least it's clean and fresh.

Never in my life I imagined it will be someday that I will have to clean the grocery items like this😕😕😕😕

Guys, this isn't being an OCD. Trust me, I'm tired of doing this. But just thinking about what could happen motivates me to continue following safe health procedures. I don't want my parents and boyfriend getting sick. I love them too much to see them in a hospital. I'm not willing to be reckless over something so important at this time.

Right. Good luck finding disinfectant anywhere. Might as well advise people to wipe things down with unicorn tears.

I would just leave my pantry stuff just inside my door for 3 days. I started wearing latex gloves under cotton gloves. As I walk into the store and grab a cart I soak/wet the cotton gloves top and bottom with bleach solution that I bring with me. That way when I touch something I know the bleach is killing the virus that is possibly on plastic and steel surfaces (which lasts 2-3 days). Before touching fruits and vegetables I put the plastic produce bag over my hand if I have to test for ripeness (I've always done this). Then just invert the bag over the fruit and tie it up. It's so disgusting watching people touch them with their bare hands! When I get home I change my cotton gloves and re-soak them with bleach and then clean my fridge items. It's a lot easier to disinfect items with cotton gloves on vs. a clorox wipe. Or you can bring them outside and spray them down with bleach solution and let them air dry. This saves on the clorox wipes and you can reuse the latex gloves because they are cleaned with bleach and then just wash the cotton gloves. I would NOT trust any fast food restaurant worker to wash their hands while preparing food. They may wear gloves but I've seen workers dump trash into the dumpster and go back to making food without changing the gloves. Places are still open for drive through and pick up but what if one of the staff is infected?

Omg. This makes me never want to buy groceries again... or eat food. So depressing :(

If I left my groceries on the porch for three days, the raccoons would have a feast!! My friend, a microbiologist, told me the bottom of a purse, or reusable cloth grocery bag, is one of the dirtiest places you’ll find....

It's over, a woman let her kid lick the windows at my store today. We were disinfecting our groceries, and here in August, with 160k dead, kids are free to lick public buildings.

I remember my grandma practicing a lot of that in 70’s and 80’s. With a lot of deer hunters, we have ozone generation systems that we put gear and clothing in to kill bacteria to remove scent, also works on viruses. Your thoughts on utilizing an ozone system in garage or porch to decontaminate stuff well packaged? Also, we have been taking shoes off at door so not to track possible virus we picked up on floor of store. These too can be decontaminated in ozone system. Commercial ozone generators run about $70 and can be rigged up to a plastic tote. Or could be ran in car. Do not run in house or risk lung and throat damage. Ozone will dissipate in a few minutes after turning off and areating. If decontaminating a room, a window needs opened, and all pets and people out of house for two hours while it runs. Doors and windows will need left open until ozone dissipates..

I m already taking all that measures .now I m feeling relaxed because I realized,I wasn't alone doing these crazy things.I have so many prayers for all mankind with out any discrimination ,stay safe .

at 3:28 min he touches the outside of cereal box, explaining the inside is clean, but touches the inside bag with his hands and didn’t wipe the touched area afterwards... if he explains us how to disinfect, then at least do it 100% correctly ~ also 4:37 the way he opens the bread bag, facepalm, he touches the inside of bread bag, and pushes the bread out clumsily, the bread touches a little of the outside of the bag, and shakes the bag over the clean box...and the plastic bag also touches the box...”fake cleaning”

One thing I do is keep a disinfecting wipe draped over the handle of the shopping cart the whole time I shop. Therefore every time I touch something and my hands go back to the handle and the wipe I sanitize my hands every time.

About six months before the pandemic, I saw a customer sneeze all over the soy milk section. I could see the spray from across the room, so this is good.

He shouldn't have put a reusable bag on his clean counter. He should be using soap rather than sanitizer--works much better on viruses.

Its easy to say plan 2 weeks of groceries, but ive been out 4 times in the past 7 days just to get a few essentials and they are never there.

This just seems weird, not to mention he touched the outside of the cereal box multiple times and then grabbed the top of the "clean" cereal bag likely where cereal would be pouring out and then grabbed a "clean" bag that WAS ON THE FLOOR and put it into the "clean" space. This is unreal, we can't even trust doctors. I appreciate his efforts but wow.

I guess I'm a gonner, because there's just no way I'm willing to do everything he suggested. I wear gloves and a mask when I go shopping. I try not to use the things I've just bought for a while, but that's not always possible. I wash and sanitize my hands routinely, and I try not to touch my face. That's about it. I'm not saying he's wrong; I'm just saying I have my limits.

I literally just wash my hands after handling the groceries instead of all of this. Wear gloves if you want to, and don't grab the groceries immediately at the front on the stack. Then again I am in Canada where quarantine and social distancing is a bigger thing than in the states. I do not go out to grocery shop as I am pregnant, but my husband does. They have handwashing stations at the entrances of the stores and employees at the front directing people to wash their hands before entering and before they leave. They also have cart wipes too for added protection

We bring our groceries into the laundry room, since it’s nearest to our garage, and I now follow your guidance. We do bring our produce into the kitchen and wash tomatoes, oranges, apples, etc, in a sink full of soapy water. Keep up the great work and stay safe and well!
