The easiest way to get into the meditative state is to begin listening. If you simply close your eyes and allow yourself to hear all the sounds that are going on around you, just listen to the general hum and buzz of the world as you listen to music. Don’t try to identify the sounds you are hearing, don’t put names on them, simply allow them to play with your eardrums. Don’t judge the sounds: there are no proper sounds nor improper sounds, it’s all just sound. As you hear sounds coming into your head, you simply listen to them as part of the general noise going And soon you will find that the outside world and the inside world come together. They are a happening. everything is simply a happening and all you are doing is watching it...

This song is incredible. But personally, my mind is set up to get to the same conclusion the opposite way: I try to absorb every note, every leaf on the ground as I hike, every cloud in the sky as I look, every headlight on the freeway while driving, every person in a mall, everything. At once. And my mind overwhelms like trying to absorb The Matrix and flows over and I leave into another world of either pure emotion, worship at the scale of complexity around us, and eventually contemplative thought. This song, like long deadmau5 remixes, gets me there.
