As someone building a mod pack that would feature a zombie apocalypse, I never thought I'd need a spawn animation for them. Slowly coming out of the ground like that makes so much sense.

@@SnowUlises Spawn Animations is a data pack, but there is a mod version that works with any of the 3 mod loaders.

I want like, 10 of those lil crystal axolotl doodads!! They're so friend-shaped!! :) Also the spawn animations are elite!! That's such a cool mod! :O The naturalist mod is so sick and dope!! Lovin' the addition of dragonflies!!!1 :D

2:24 They should change the mechanic like the older mod. The time to chopped down trees depends on how big is the tree.

I would still prefer Alex's Mobs over Naturalist not just bc it has more mob variety but bc I love going around my Survival with many options on what to tame! Also Alex's Mobs has some of the best mob mechanics ive seen in any mod. Still would be my number 1 Animals mod pick.

I'd pick naturalist over Alex's mobs when using a fabric modpack cause there is no Alex's mobs for fabric.

I was playing around with naturalist, alexs mobs, and all the abnormals mods to see how the naturalists mobs compare to the mobs that already exist in those mods, and if you just disable spawning of the few overlapping naturalist mods, it makes for a great supplementary mob mod on top of the others mentioned, some behaviors are a little strange though

I love Alex's Mobs I just have an issue with the crimson mosquito's craft item. If I knew how to remove the blood gun and replace it with something else I think the mod would be perfect.

i mean, there is a resource pack that adds compat between alex's mobs and naturalist. It's called Alexish Mobs

2:38 I have been playing this game from before beds, redstone or fences were a thing and this mod (and its previous iterations) has been a sanity saver for the past 12 or so years. It baffles me that they decided to add pistons mod to the base game but not this one.

Addendum to "Alex Mobs or Naturalist" if you don't play on forge then you don't have to worry about deciding! because lucky you, we only get Naturalist.....

I mostly agree with you, Noxus, about the choice between "Alex's Mobs" & "Naturalist". Although "Alex's Mobs" was and is still a great mod, it may seem too big in amount of new mobs. Especially aggressive ones. In that case I would prefer "Naturalist" too. Unfortunately "Naturalist" adds duckweed, which, in my opinion, made better in "Good Ending" mod (also a good mod, I would like to see you mention it in your next videos!) Thank you for your videos! Like from me :D

Can you showcase Rats 1.20.1 from creator of Alex Mobs? This mod adds a lot of content that associated with rats. You can tame one, upgrade, make them harvest crops abd etc. There's a lot of bosses and even different dimension called "Ratlantis"(You need to turn it on in datapacks or configs). It adds a lot of bosses too

Right now I am still doing videos for 1.19.2, because most mods have not been updated to 1.20 yet. That is why most viewers will probably still play with 1.19.2 instead of 1.20 at the moment :)

no one is interested in your personal taste in fact it really bugs me. people put a lot of work into these mods. especially ones with “too much content” like what? maybe just present the mods and let people make their own conclusions. yanno. like every other person who does this
