Dr. One should be a super intellect person to deal with a NPD. In a male oriented society like ours, a new bride who bumped on an NPD bridegroom finds it a herculian task to liberate herself from such an NPD. It is easy to advice, but difficult to practice by a victim. She needs great support to come out of it. When the support is seldom, she unknowingly goes towards ending her life. I feel it is better not to advice the victim to overcome the situation by intellectual methods. The NPD is more intellectual in that way. It is safe for the victim to come out of the abused situation.

Dr Susan, you mentioned that we should blame the victim and not the narcissist. What about children of narcissistic parents? They are abused and conditioned by their parents from childhood. Sometimes people become victims due to circumstances and through no fault of their own. Indian children do not stand a chance in narcissistic families. Thank you for your videos.

I should say we need to impliment this important subject to our education system that we never get. We dont have use a²b² formula in our daily life as a normal people . More over we can find these types of people everywhere as a friend,as a teacher,as boss,as a relative,as a parent,as a husband.etc. Our mental health will become worse by Dealing with these kida people daily from childhood.

Hi mam really ur videos r an eye opener for many of people out there who r suffering from narcissism..am also a victim for the past five years but unfortunately recently only I came to knw about the term narcissism. Now i have learnt almost every aspect of this disoder n planning to come out from this. But the thing is am confused like anything..what decision to take n what not .too many questions, confusions running through my mind n literally am in stuck between my intellectual and emotional state..i really wanna come out this but am worried about his side..i mean whether it lead him to depression. People pleasing is a problem that is related to your locus of control in life. You might be perceiving that other powerful people have control in making decisions in your life and controls it. There are chances that you may become a victim if you give control to other people. But if you are doing it purposefully then it is absolutely okay.

ഒറ്റ മകൻ / മകൾ ഉള്ള ഒരു കുടുംബത്തിൽ narcissistic mother ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അതേ സമയം മക്കൾക്ക് നല്ല supportive ആയി നിൽക്കുന്ന father ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ... ഒരു പരിധി വരെ ആ ഫാമിലി ബാലൻസ് ചെയ്തു പോകില്ലേ മാം? Yes, when you identify conduct disorder in children you should act immediately to make possible modification to their character and personality. If an empathetic person is not vigilant about the intention of the abuser empathetic person will suffer. Also once an abuse happens the empathetic person passively accepts it and do not tries to rectify but develops a blind trust in the abuser's and their flying monkeys false promises and selective fake transformations.
