Many studies reveal that narcissistic personality disorder is on the rise among teens and young adults. There are malignant and non-malignant narcissists. When you realise or doubt that you are living with an NPD you are not supposed to diagnose it by yourself. Ensure that you consult a well-experienced professional to assess the disorder so that you can make the best possible decision in handling your life well and save you from further damages both psychological and non-psychological. May be my inexperience, but I respectfully disagree to the part regarding society's approval to escape from an abusive/bad relationship. One can never escape from a bad relationship if you are expecting societal approval. Especially in India, you are expected to stick it out until it kills you or you are killed. People are ready to light candles after you are gone but won't let you escape!

Ma'am, ഞാൻ എല്ലാം അറിഞ്ഞു വന്നപ്പോഴേക്കും അയാൾ എന്റെ relatives നെയെല്ലാം പലവിധ സഹായത്താൽ അയാളുടെ side ലേക്ക് ആക്കി. സഹിച്ചും ക്ഷമിച്ചും 30 വർഷം കഴിഞ്ഞു പോയി. എല്ലാവരും എന്നെ ബഹള കാരിയായി ചിത്രീകരിച്ചു. മക്കൾ ഇടയ്ക്ക് ഉള്ളതുകൊണ്ട് കയ്യിൽ പൈസ ഇല്ലാത്തതുകൊണ്ട് ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റാത്ത നിസ്സഹായ അവസ്ഥ. പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് കേരളത്തിലെ വ്യവസ്ഥിതികൾ. അടുത്തബന്ധുക്കൾ ആയാൽ പോലും സ്ത്രീകൾക്കെതിരാണ്‌. ഞാൻ വാടകയ്ക്ക് ഇറങ്ങിപ്പോന്നു. അപ്പോൾ ക്യാനഡയിൽ പോയ മകൻ തിരിച്ചു വന്നു. എല്ലാം ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു ഇറങ്ങി വന്ന എന്നെ തിരിച്ചു ചെല്ലാൻ പറഞ്ഞു മകൻ നിർബന്ധിക്കുകയാണ്. മകൾ എന്റെ കൂടെയുണ്ട്. ദൈവം എന്തെങ്കിലും ചെയ്യട്ടെ എന്ന് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
