On January 4, the President of NSCN/GPRN-K, Khango Konyak issued an official statement declaring the impeachment of Ato Kilonser Col. (Retd) Isak Sumi from NSCN/GPRN-K.
Regarding the impeachment, Deputy Kilonser of NSCN K (Khango), Sellen Nyakpa clarified the reason behind the impeachment of Ato Kilonser Col. (Retd) Isak Sumi from NSCN/GPRN K. The Deputy Kilonser alleged that Isak Sumi was highly influenced by drugs and never cared about the Army in general. And as per the order given by the President of NSCN K, the government has to impeach Isak from his post. He also alleged that Isak Sumi mismanaged the funds and was going with a self-styled government. As per allegation, Isak was also alleged of inducting many family members at the finance Management Committee.
The Deputy Kilonser also informed that this is not the first time that he was impeached by a government. Earlier also Isak Sumi was forgiven, however he kept up the same behaviour. And this time the government has no other option but to impeach Isak Sumi
