Yes the same. Chronically anxious from dusk till dawn. Rami mentioned the fear and dread. For me it's s like someone has a gun pointed at my head 24/7 and they could pull the trigger at any moment.

Brilliantly described. For me, it's like waiting for my windows to be smashed or for water to pour in through the ceiling. Truly terrible.

@Louisecampbell2628 Same here! You have chronic physical symptoms of anxiety? Like feeling nervous all the time, along with constant muscle tension etc. ?

... as a German Biologist - this is about Domestication and the fast race into a synthetic Techno Sphere - destroying the Bio Sphere. There is no solid ground, no home, no place to live. We all are homeless Nomads drifting through a Social War Zone. Erich Fromm mentioned that already in the 1950´s when we over consume everything to feel well - and blind ourselves to Reality... I grew up as a Young Boy in Germany in the 1950´s we all were POOR and struggled to survive - but there was Confidence of things getting better each year. And not One Person was SICK! Not ONE! We all had to work HARD as a 5 year old I had to help with everything as much I was able to... and there were many similar children in the neighbour hood - all on the same path... Today we are in an Alien World. Young Persons ALL are totally self isolated with headphones and in deep trance in Phantasia Land. No way this will end well... Self Chernobyl

I had this and it turned into a general anxiety. I’m slowly recovering. Slowly.

@@DrRamiNader I honestly never realised that until watching this! I'd be awesome if you did 1 to 1 sessions over Teams or something 😮 (at a cost, of cours). Then again, being a Doctor you probably have your hands full! Thank you again for the video 🎉

Because I am only licensed to practice in BC Canada, I can't provide psychological services to people who do not live here. I'm pleased to hear that you have found the videos helpful though!

These videos are answering so many of my concerns that therapists over the years were never able to adequately address. It’s amazing to feel understood. I really feel like I’m getting more from these videos than years of therapy. What I’m wondering is if I could ask a therapist to watch these videos so they could work on stuff with me. Is that offensive to ask a therapist to do?
@DrRamiNader
@DrRamiNader Жыл бұрын
I think it would be perfectly reasonable to ask your therapist to do this type of therapy - it's called cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). One of the challenges you might run into is that a lot of therapists will say they do CBT, but don't actually know how to do CBT - rather, they do some generic thought challenging and relaxation techniques, which isn't really CBT.

@@DrRamiNader I’ve had a lot of CBT but your videos specifically are what I want my therapist to watch. I love your stuff so much. And it’s so cool you respond to comments! Thank you. Do you take long distance clients?

Another great video. This is me in a nutshell. Diagnosed with Bipolar II and Autism Spectrum. I've functioned 'normally', however, give or take a few dozen breakdowns through the years.

Ok, so this is what I am suffering from. Now I know there is nothing wrong with me nor am I depressed. I have a good job, beautiful family life and healthy, yet I somehow am suffering from these symptoms. None the less, now to carry on and hopefully one day it will just disappear 🙏

It is not a disease but a part of one's personality. It used to be called neurosis, but as usual, new terms have to be invented. Sometimes even people with generalized anxiety can function well.

Wow, This is sooo me and I didn’t think I suffered so bad. But I literally deal with all of this plus my job is a crap load of toxic dysfunction. I think I will have to find something new. I am somewhat ready to go back but not really. Financially I am being pushed back but some of my apprehension is going back to toxic functioning. Dr. Nader you are excellent at what u do. These symptoms I struggle with constantly but never tied it to HF anxiety! Wow, what do I do? Do you do take therapy? I definite fit all of this… I am floored

Fellow depressed people, Does anyone else have an extreme aversion to exercise? Any advice on overcoming this? Or just experiences of this difficulty? Thanks.

I've had the same issue. Exercise really ramps up my anxiety. But I've found that chair exercising & chair yoga are effective & my body feels safer. A lot of videos are available on KZfaq. They're mostly geared for the elderly but work well for me to get moving. I also find that gentle walking in place, whether it's standing or sitting gets me moving and actually helps calms me down. I hope these ideas help 🙂

@@jmaxwell4352 thanks. I got an exercise bike recently and made a special area for yoga. Still difficult or near impossible on my most depressed days but easier with the exercise bike than without. I will look into the chair yoga. Maybe it will be similar to the ease of the exercise bike. Thanks for your suggestions.

👋 Dr. Nader, it's so timely that I watched this episode. 👍 Do you also have a video on "worrying or caring too much about what others think of what you've done to them, when in fact you have not done anything improper that might offend them". Not sure if I described it clearly. I love your channel.🙏🏽

Dr.Nader is there a term for having adrenaline rushes when you are alert or facing a situation that causes fear in you but you dont know exactly why? Ive done exposure to similar situations but it doesnt help and im puzzled about why i feel danger when i know im not in danger.
