lmao my grandfather taught me how to boresight rifles like that and it is hilarious to see people's faces when I do that and a range especially when I go to shoot and I hit right on target. old school some of the best ways
@sirich7751
@sirich7751 4 жыл бұрын
It works. Gets you on paper immediately. Then a few more rounds to dial in. I bore sight in my basement using reflective dots on old cardboard. I leave roughly 1 1/2" inches between bore and scope in elevation because of the close range inside. Always on paper (pretty decently) at 50 yards at the range.

@@johnstewart8849 that’s why it’s called bore sighting… no need for the POS laser, it’s a waste of money.

I have watched all Ryan's video's several times, taking notes then applying principals at the range. The single drawback to this? Everyone brings me their rifles now and asks me to sight them in :) Thanks for the knowledge and instruction .

I really cannot compliment Ryan Cleckner enough. I am humbled by his knowledge and his instruction style. Ryan exudes confidence and demonstrates he has nothing to prove and possesses a genuine desire to impart understanding to others. Ryan does not communicate as a know-it-all but rather as one who is comfortable with his education, experience and practical understanding of the information he communicates to others. Ryan demonstrates a true desire to help others grasp information that is second nature to him. Great job Ryan and thank you for you willingness to teach us what you know and understand. Please, keep up the great work!

its honestly amazing how far technology has come . ive done both methods the one seen in the video and with a laser bore sight and both are so close to each other i cant tell the difference. i have alot of respect for the older generation who had no option but to use this method (by eye looking down the barrel). my grandfather to this day uses the eye method and hes more accurate when it comes to hitting the paper and his grouping. thanks for sharing

Many thanks for making the learning so much easier. :)
