The New South Wales Police Force is making a multimillion-dollar investment in the health and wellbeing of officers.
The Pulse program is designed to reduce the number of officers leaving the force and cut down suicides.

May I say... commited suicide is not only from workplace but within a family and friends too!!!! Sometimes they were seeking some help but didn't help at all. Instead created more problems. I was stressed Doctor reference to another mental health doctor. She said nothing just asked me what my problem. At the end she was not suggested anything but prescribed medication for me. Fortunately!!!! I didn't take any of them. That was the first and the last I saw her. It was over 10 years. If we have one really best friend that he/she worth trusted, that really good enough. Some friends are not helping but make more stress 😂😂😂.

I think the most healthy is for Police to have fun, perhaps a good game of baseball, soccer, obstacle areas , and questions about the country , rivers, animals ,birds, people,, and physical areas to go through with a team. of 3, Two others are citizens adult or child,, bike used, running, swimming, row boat. About 20 teams in all. Fun. They need fun , and citizens need to have fun with.. Kind of like Amazing Race. event. but not as that many days, One good day. Televise maybe too,, and the EMS. and Fire Personal. Held 2 times a year.. How About it, ?

My X husband, a few months after joining the force, in Australia 🇦🇺, had to pick up the pieces of a 20 plus young lady's remains, after she stepped infront of a train. The only therapy he got, was a shot of whisky when he got home. Assistance is needed for all trauma based peoples, who face sudden and at times grusome scenes, where they have to attend. All services across the board, civilian and military, NEED counselling... .

Can understand and the train driver/crew too. I had one at 85mph. Not nice. Was an ex nurse [26 years] before I became a train driver, so it took a little while before it hit me. My employers ket ringing me up 3 times a week to see when I was coming back [after 7 days from the incident!].

That's the job. Soldiering, policing, firefighting, road crash rescue and other such professions require a thick skin, not a Yr12 education or University Degree. Police have been recruiting the wrong people for at least 25 years
