Taylor is pretty much being taken advantage off. Those awards are only handed to her to please Taylor fans to continue watching. Meanwhile, other underdog artists….who are just as genuine and work just as hard get very little recognition. I would’ve been more impressed if an underrated artist was given an opportunity to be on stage with either NSYNC or some other band from their generation (like One direction or something like that). Just to give them something to be proud of a motivate them to keep working to reach the same level of success as Taylor.

Like Beyoncé, Rihanna, Mariah Carey. Adele doesn’t have as much albums as Taylor but when she does release a new album, it goes platinum within a week.

And yes, Adele goes platinum in a week, but almost all of Taylor's albums have also gone platinum in a week and she's far more prolific and versatile in her releases. She has two full Grammy-winning folk albums, folkmore and evermore. Those are not pop, and are basically poetry in terms of writing. If anything Ariana Grande is mostly pop. And it's a fact that Taylor writes all of her music while Ariana doesn't. If you look at Ariana's songwriting credits, for example positions was written by Killah B, JustAcoustic, Angelina Barrett, London on da Track, TBHits, Mr. Franks, Nija & Ariana Grande. That's 7 people aside from her. Not to mention she doesn't play instruments and isn't even credited for writing her most popular songs like Just A Little Bit of Your Heart, Love Me Harder, One Last Time, Dangerous Woman, Greedy, etc. That doesn't change that she's an amazing vocalist, but she definitely isn't known for her songwriting.

If regular folks had the resources to hire people to set up a meet and greet/ gift giving event with their favorite childhood artists, they’re do it in a heartbeat.
