Two against one is hardly fair. They kept trying to shut the poor guy out, but he kept hitting them with the scripture. good job.

Announcer should have been neutral they ganged up on him. He defended himself well and had alot of good points. He actually won with the little time he had.

The Bible never said polygamy is a sin! But give rule for it! It become the lesser of two evil! Let poor women starve and go with out a husband and children; he who can take care of her and the children! Not every man can afford one wife. Men die early and more offended then women and the widow still needs husband if she has no male children!

If polygamy is against God's will, how come it is not included in the 10 commandments where fornication, adulatory and homosexuality is banned

When the Church and the Roman culture were joined, Roman culture became Christian. We need to separate them. Romans marry one wife but Jews marry many wives

Abraham had accepted without question the promise of a son, but he did not wait for God to fulfill His word in His own time and way. A delay was permitted, to test his faith in the power of God; but he failed to endure the trial. Thinking it impossible that a child should be given her in her old age, Sarah suggested, as a plan by which the divine purpose might be fulfilled, that one of her handmaidens should be taken by Abraham as a secondary wife. Polygamy had become so widespread that it had ceased to be regarded as a sin, but it was no less a violation of the law of God, and was fatal to the sacredness and peace of the family relation. Abraham's marriage with Hagar resulted in evil, not only to his own household, but to future generations.

It was not Abraham who did not wait. It was Sarah, who gave Hagar to him, to be his second wife. Polygamy was NEVER regarded as a sin in the first place! The only forms of polygamy that Scripture regards as sinful, are polyandry and polyamory, and Abraham did not practice either. Pharaoh and Abimelech were BOTH reproved for taking the wife of another man, but Abimelech was told that taking a second wife was done in the integrity of his heart. Please do some research before you pontificate on a topic you know so little about! In other words, "Stuy to show thyself an approved worker that needeth not be ashamed".

Where in Scripture do you find ANY indication that Abraham's marriage to Sarah resulted in evil to future generations?

@@danieldeluca4936 You sound like a RC. (1.) What is your definition of adultery? (2.) If polygamy was never ...a sin, then why did God instruct Abraham to put Hagar away in Gen. 21? (3.) Why did God give to Adam a wife and not many? (4.) why does God say, marriage is between a woman and a man (singular)? (5.) It is possible that you are a product of a polygamous union so you defend it willy nilly. The Decalogue does not change to cater to your perverse inclinations. It is written, "thou shalt not commit adultery.

@Asa Fred Bolton Adjei The discussion is NOT about 'men with one wife have peace'. This is the reason you failed in school by responding to what was not asked.

@Alec Alberti Supporting children fathered out of wedlock is not a sin. Like most who do evil repeatedly, you think that because he married Keturah makes it right. It does not!
