Hi Finn! I don't ever comment but after your video the other day I just wanted to tell you that I appreciate all your videos. Yes I click on nu metal and metal core more than anything, but you literally changed my mindset on gatekeeping, "selling out", and allowed me to open my mind to tons of new music. Even got me to hate ICP less (as a people, not the music) Also I got a few people to watch your stuff. So whatever you decide to do, know that you at least had a huge positive impact on my music taste, and therefore my life. Truly.

Lead singer of AAF walks right by me, we make eye contact, and I shook his hand and said "hey man great show it was great to see you, thank you". I was just being nice to the guy. Agree, skindred are one of the best bands of all time. Absolute musical geniuses, you can hate on reggae metal but nobody else was doing it, even within nu metal they were completely unique band. But their songs are actually good regardless of the hate, I always listen to "doom riff" that song will be forever stuck in my head. But I like most their songs too. Maybe it's because I was a huge st0ner and went through a massive reggae phase but I also had my emo/metal phase when I was younger too and just appreciate both those styles of music

Saw Skindred open for Papa Roach back in like, 2005-2006 time frame. I was like, 15 or 16 and had my 11 year old brother with me. He enjoyed them, so after their set while waiting for Papa Roach to set up, we went to the merch table to ask about getting an autograph on his ticket. Dudes said "Hell nah. Buy a CD and we'll sign that." to an 11 year old kid who had no merch cash. They lost any possibility of me ever defending their music after that one.

Watched a great interview with Tye (AAF's bassist) recently on YT with a luthier named JD Pinckney. Tye carved and built that bass himself. Apparently he had a deal in the works with Fender at one point to produce a limited edition artist line of these but for whatever reason it never came to fruition. AAF's first indie album (it's called "Greatest Hits") before they hit it big is awesome. Some killer songs on there that didn't make it to their major label debut.

Finn, after your video the other day, I wanted to word this right. Whether you read this or not, whether you care or not, I just wanted to say that you've been my favorite KZfaq for years. You inspired me to get back into content creating, and you also got me to wake up and pursue my career in marketing at 26. I'd personally love to hear what advice you would have for someone who is just starting at 26 after years of trying to become the greatest death metal guitarist, which got me no where. I also loved your older content about the more modern music, the "how did they get big?" series was amazing, plus I love your life advice, life style, vlog videos and I do hope you continue making those and make those older videos as well, but I understand the money aspect. I know this was a schizophrenic tangent, but I seriously hope that you do stick around of find an outlet in content creating that pleases you.

Didn't Alien Ant Farms career stall out due to a bus crash that crippled a couple of the guys? My memory is saying something like that. From Wikipedia: In May 2002, the band was involved in a bus accident while touring in Spain.[13] While the whole band suffered minor injuries, the driver, 26-year-old Christopher Holland, was killed, and lead singer Mitchell suffered a fractured C2 vertebra.[14][2] I guess not, says they were back in the studio in 03.

Skindred has that so bad it’s actually good energy to me. I’ll jam through their album once every 2 or 3 years if I’m in the right frame of mind for it. The right frame of mind probably being me forgetting exactly why I haven’t listened to them for a while.

Hey! So you did think Annie was okay! I trusted you, Sports Metal Coach Finn! jk I agree. I prefer to listen to Movies to get down with the fitness. Ooo-ah-ah-ah. Also, just update, I got another Thousand Foot Krutch album! haha I voted Linkin Park on the poll for best nu-metal, but TFK is my favorite. Hope you and your have a great week, Finn!

It’s weird to me that Alien ant farm is considered Nu metal. Also Five pointe 0 was far from generic. Listen to their album. They tried things that few other bands attempted at the time. If anything they were kind of ahead of their time in terms of experimentation. By the time they came around Nu Metal has become very mainstream and watered down but these guys went weird with their stuff. I’d say they were underrated more than anything. Yuh some of their stuff was undercooked but maybe it added to the appeal of their sound not being as polished. I feel like if they kept at it their sound would have developed into something very special… also I never saw them as outright Nu Metal. Skindred is not great but some of their songs were quite interesting. There’s really far worse Nu Metal bands than this list

Hey Finn Didn't Alien Ant farm get into a serious bus accident while on tour for thier first album and got seriously hurt....or am I misremembering...? I was a huge Korn fan and saw them in 1995 in Tucson Arizona with the band No Doubt and the British band Bush 🤘🧐✌️
