This type of content really helps me. I read it first then listen on video. Great way to get pronunciation right. Also, lobsters are always interesting.

I love and appreciate the emails and videos that Mollie provides, but oh how I wish she would provide the phonetic spelling too. I am learning, but this would help tremendously. GRMA!

Hi Beth! Thank you! I find that students can learn the sounds and spellings of Irish quite quickly instead of relying on phonetics (which can tend to lose the nuance of the language and music). You'll find some free downloads on pronunciation on my website and full guides in my courses 😊

Haigh Mollie. Could you please tell me the literal translation of of that first sentence. Tá suil agam. Go raibh maith agat

Yes, Tá (is) súil (anticipation/an eye) agam (at me) = I have an eye / I have anticipation/ I hope)😊

@irishwithmollie Go raibh maith agat. I am relearning irish after leaving school some 25years ago! I knew, súil as eye but I couldn't figure out how it translated to, I hope. I've been listening to a podcast, and they say 'tá suil agam', a bit, so that has helped loads. I appreciate all your content. Slán go foil
