I would've just had the water go around the neutron ball from below, which seems like an easier solution than digging three different channels that don't get as close.

tbh the main water reservoir should probably be cooled down to compensate for how small it is (because it realistically would have orders of magnitude greater volume, thus, wouldn't heat up nearly as much)

What if the walls between the heat produced from the reactor were more than 1 block thick from the water you want to be cool

Pressurize the water system the water will be able to transfer more heat before converting to steam.

The easiest way to fix the steam problem on the outer water pimple is to just remove the wall on the outside. That’s it. There is no need to prevent the water from falling anywhere since it’s going outside anyway and it stops the steam problem in its tracks. Besides, many dams to drop water from the top and not the bottom.

Would a uranium/exotic reactor work? Exotic causes pressure and the uranium (due to the pressure from the exotic) causes heat I'm gonna see if that combination is stable and put the answer here: it is somewhat stable

try pushing the water through copper.

surely it would be better to turn the dam off, wait for it to cool to normal temp. *then* turn on the reactor? that way its not having to also cool the heat thats built up already but rather just maintaining it.

Simplify the design to have a simpler control on the water flow. Increase the water flow until you have desired effect. You could use more water to cool down the steam once its passed thrue your "turbine"

If you don't know this reference "proton bombs" you are not a real spikeviper fan.

You need significantly more water flow around the reactor in order to cool it. You could run much larger channels pumping water into a larger area around the reactor. Move the water fast enough and it will pick up heat but not turn directly into steam. Double the size of the chamber around the reactor for water. Pump water directly into that area from the top and out the bottom. Get rid of the lower cooling channel intake and move the reactor 4 blocks to the left this will give you the needed space to make the water jacket larger and retain the "waterfall" part on the front of the dam Get rid of the steam vent and the active cooling. Once moving enough water you shouldn't need them.

Spike make a Deathstar it's not THAT hard, because if I can make a tri-ray plasma beam and a quad-ray thermite one then you can make one too.
