I played FFIV for the first time ever about a month ago, never really ran away from any battles, but this boss I still had to grind before being able to beat him because that big bang attack hurts more than a mother-in-law's stare during the wedding dinner.

I’d say Nobuo Uematsu outdid himself when he did “Force Your Way” for FF8, most memorably the fight with Omega Weapon in Ultimecia’s Castle.

I was killed four times before beating Zeromus

Bio is the best mp-to-damage, also way faster than flare or bahamut.

Berserk cecil for damage boost, unless you just do what I started doing and leveling to 99, since you max out at 9999 per hit berserk is pointless at that point unless you just want to save yourself a few button presses. Oddly enough, I looked it up just for the heck of it and the only thing I can think of is that somehow I never got the crystal armor in ANY of my at least a dozen playthroughs, because I can temember berserking him and letting him go after that, but the crystal Armor prevents berserk....so weird. Unless there was some difference in the US versus Japanese version that I was unaware of in the crystal armor specifically.

They are actually FF6-style sprites from FFRK. PSP Sprites are of much higher resolution.
